Anna, it would be great if you and your dad wrote a memoir of his chess years and games with famous players. People would love to hear his views and assessments of the chess world spanning the course of his career. Your father's memories are an incredible asset to the history of chess.

I discovered this channel a few weeks ago. So glad I did. Her whole family has so much love for each other. So nice to see on a regular basis. I love how Anna is around her parents. Such youthful exuberance. The way she looks at them, her admiration and love for them is endless. Plus, she's a sponge around them, whenever they're explaining something. Adorable family. Thanks for making the excellent content.

That was SO IMPRESSIVE! You are VERY blessed to have a father that is so supportive and such a great chess mind! I really hope he plays a lot and in some serious tournaments, His calm demeanor and yet decisive moves is a testament to his skill !!!

I feel like the surprise might be due to his experience against higher rated players who would have probably foreseen and prevented knight c2, so he didn't expect this to work. Still, great play, I definitely wouldn't have seen it

Can we just take a second to acknowledge that she saw four moves ahead, pinned the pawn to their king and forked their queen?

It was a trick and the opponent fell for it. If the opponent didn't allow that fork (e.g. attacking the queen that was pinning the pawn instead) it could have gotten far more complicated I think. Nevertheless, a very nice tactical sequence!

@@Marnige Hand and Brain chess was originally invented by a GM by the name of Simon Williams. It has been featured in many popular chess channels as it has grown in popularity over the last 5 years. He came up with it about 20 years ago, based on the centuries old idea of team chess; swapping players out every turn without any communication.
