First and foremost - it's really wonderful to see your mom. "I'm back" is one of the happiest phrases I've heard in a while. I hope she continues to get better! The avocado allergy... sorry about that. First disclaimer - I'm not a doctor. I developed an allergy myself (gluten) later in life, and found ways to manage it. Too much to get into here, but I would look into Dr. Gundry's work (and others), focusing on inflammation/leaky gut/healthy gut biome research. I'm not going to lie, you're going to hate how restrictive diets can feel initially, but for myself (and we're all different) when I focus on these anti-inflammatory/happy gut wall lining food recommendations - I feel so much better and don't have any issues. It will also allow me to on occasion eat 'cheat foods' (like gluten) without a severe reaction. Some people are completely healed by switching diets for a while, but I'm not one of them. Good luck!

He had full blown hives. He has started eating part of one occasionally so he may be able to eat them again one day. Enjoyed your restaurant choices. Yay!!! So happy to see Mama in this video. Continuing to send prayers & good thoughts her way! Hope you get the chance to see a doctor about your avocado allergy. I’m allergic to latex; so I’m advised to stay away from most tropical fruits; banana is pretty much it. Some latex allergy sufferers are allergic to avocados, but it’s less common. I used to be able to eat pineapple; but within the last 2 years, I’ve noticed that it gives me a scratchy throat. I miss the juice. 😢 Avocado Allergy 😭

also bird is correct in that they changed the scooby doo fruit snacks-- the scooby one used to be an opaque, bright blue but they changed it to be see-thru like the others. not sure if they ever had monster shapes, from my memory theyve always been the gang + the mystery machine

I’m glad your mother is doing better. To be sure about the avocado allergy get tested, MeiMei. That freaking sucks! 😢 You make me want to go San Francisco (One of my friends from high school and his hubby live there) and the Bay Area. I’ve only been to SoCal (three times in my life). I developed an avocado allergy too! Used to eat it daily. sensitivity can change about every 7 years. So hopefully one day you can eat it again ! I tried it again after 5 years and was okay! 🤞🏼

My sister in law developed a really severe avocado allergy in her late twenties! I hadn’t heard of someone being allergic to avocado until that point. As someone with an anaphylactic peanut allergy I feel you. Hopefully some allergy testing can pin point your exact trigger. Wishing you all the best ❤

You should get an allergy skin prick test if you can! That way you know if you're fs allergic to the avocado - sometimes you can have an allergy to birch pollen proteins that are similar in food like avocado (oral allergy syndrome) and it's not as bad if the fruit/veg is cooked 🙏

I developed an avocado allergy as well--itchy throat, lips and skin (if I got avocado on my face). Be careful with makeup and lotions because so many of them contain avocado oils! I also developed an allergy to egg plant. Sigh.

I developed an avocado allergy late in life as well. I grew up eating avocado all the time and then one day, I started noticing the tingling and difficulty swallowing. Are you allergic to latex? It’s common that if you’re allergic to avocado that you’re allergic to latex as well but not every time.

Avocado cross reacts with a lot of pollen that causes seasonal allergies. Sometimes having it during pollen season bothers people but the rest of the year they are fine. Fingers crossed that’s the case for you :)
