Reformulated Opium doesn't last as long, so I layer with Youth Dew. Apply Opium to pulse points. Then spray a mist of Youth Dew and walk through, getting it in your hair. Spicy mix which lasts forever.

I love this video - beautiful fragrances! I too am looking forward to your layering video. I love to layer fragrances, I layer Black Orchid and Poison too and thought the Coconut Passion combo was genius!! - I love gourmands! One of my go to layerings is AG Songes and AG Eau d'Hadrien. I also love that you talked about these two fragrances because hardly anyone talks of them and they are gorgeous! I also really appreciate that you are not a perfume snob, that is so rare in the fragrance community. Also I like that you talk about your bedtime fragrance, glad to hear I'm not the only one who does this and Fancy works really nicely for that I can imagine. Anyway, thank you so very much for this video and looking forward to the layering.

Very fun vid!! My selections: - Sort of signatures: Annick Goutal Myrrhe Ardente in colder months and L'Artisans Traversee du Bosphore in spring and early summer. I dunno!! They are deff among my fav frags, but above all they feel easy, like home. When i am not very inspired i tend to grab one of these. - When i am feeling sick : L'Artisan Bois Farine and Jour de Fete. They are non intrusive, veeery soft and cozy, so I can only wear these when i feel sick and they feel comforting. - My night out sexy but not too much, actually very versatile frags : Usually Versace Crystal Noir BUT.... wait for the next category - Woman on the hunt frags (when i am like "raaawrrr"): Dior Poison, Agent Provocateur LAgent, Histoires de Parfum Tuberose Animale... (long live tuberose) and Tom Ford Black Orchid ( i will try your combo!!) - Meditative frags : Mostly churchy incenses and incenses overall. Andy Tauer L'air... Comme des G Avignon, Annick Goutal Encens Flamboyant and Norne by Slumnerhouse - When i want to feel edgy and somewhat masculine: Bvulgari Black, Histoires de Parfums Marquis de Sade -Frags for horrific hot days (I live in Spain...): Alvarez Gomez Colonia.. a very very traditional mediterranean cologne. Very citrusy and very herbal. Cartier Basier vole because it is not light but feels very crystaline and clean. Same with Chloe which smells like clean laundry and finally Neroli by Yves Rocher, a very lemony orange blossom that i adore. - My classy elegant in a suit: Mainly Feminite du Bois by Serge Lutens and Eau de Gloire by Parfums dEmpire, Cuir Ottoman by parfums dEmpire also - My super romantic frags when i want to feel femenine and delicate and dreamy..: Le Parfum de Therese in Frederic Malle line and Amoreuse by Prafums del Rae -My exotic i am in Bora Bora frags: Estee Lauder bronze godess and Gerlain Lys Soleia by day and Annick Goutal Songes by night (which is one of my fav frags too)

I’m slowly building my collection, I have a long way to go. I currently have about 150 bottles but they are mostly designer fragrances. I’m just now really getting into niche fragrances and I have a bunch I want. The fragrances I’m reaching for a lot is Lacoste Pour Femme, I love this one, it’s a fresh shower scent, smells like rich hand cream lol. I know that sounds crazy but it smells delightful. I wear it when I’m running errands, going to the gym or just cleaning around the house. It’s my GO TO fragrance hands down. For work, I like to wear Vanillary by Lush cosmetics. It’s a flowery vanilla that’s just sweet enough to know that it’s definitely a gourmand. It’s very pleasant to wear in the office. My go to fragrance I wear in the evenings on a night out like clubbing or going to a bar is Tresor La Nuit by Lancôme. It’s sweet, spicy, sexy and dark. I love it. I have two perfumes that I wear when I go to sleep, Fancy by Jessica Simpson or I’m Home by Lush Cosmetics. Sometimes I’ll wear Orchidee Vanille by Van Cleef and Arpels these are all very comforting scents that make me relaxed so I fall asleep easily. I have others but these are the ones I’m reaching for at the moment. Love all your videos, currently binge watching!

I like "gourmandy" scent because it doesnt give me headache. Prada candy and van clefs vanila is my fave. My everyday scent is la petite robe noire edt and spray it in my bed and also after i shower,. And my mood scents are valentina by valentino,18 la lune by d&g and classic perfume byblas by byblas.

This was an amazing video, I really enjoyed it! The fragrances I rely on are 212 Carolina Herrera (original version), Halloween Blue Drop by Jesús del Pozo and Textures by Zara (sadly discontinued) all these are great for going to bed, very soft/delicate and fresh

they are great perfumes and great choices. my go-to perfumes are: Burberry Brit EDP, Britney Spears Fantasy, JC Viva la Juicy, Penhaligon's Iris Prima, Zara Warm Rich Addictive, Charriol EDT and Rance Laetitia Millesime. they are versatile and so easy to wear that i can put on for different occasions... my daring or bitchy perfumes are usually those with a super strong patchouli note. i know most people don't like the scent of earthy dirty patchouli but it works very well on me. if i want to get noticed, i put 5 sprays or more. if i want to keep the scent close to myself, i put 2 or 3 sprays. by the way, the perfumes that i always reach to when i want to get warm are Versace Crystal Noir and Givenchy Amarige Mariage. look forward to your next video. ciao :)

Thank you Ami! It's funny how I'll find myself reaching for scents that aren't my favorites but seem to scratch an itch in the moment. Pharrell Williams Girl is one example of a scent that fits a myriad of moods and situations, though it's not one I'd consider an absolute love. It's never ceases to amaze me the intense emotional connections my fragrances give me. I wore L'air de Rien by Miller Harris for years when I was a hospice nurse. It just felt right almost every single day! So looking forward to your layering video. I layer my scents daily, sometimes 2, 3, or 4 at a time. It's comforting to know I'm not alone. :)

one last comment. I saw Donatella Versace's interview with Vogue today and she wears at least FOUR scents at once. In Middle Eastern countries, SEVEN appears to be the norm. METALLICA is the most wonderful warm lush carnation, and certainly one of my GO TO frags. (As well as Attrape Coeur and Vol de Nuit and the L'Art et Matiere series when we're talking Guerlain. Chanel: Coromandel, Rue Cambon and Cuir de Russie. Ford: Noir de Noir (omg), ByKylian Cruel Intentions always during flights and Back to Black, Malle PoaL and Fleur de Cassie, Dior vintage Miss Dior, Ambre Nuit and Cuir Cannage. Creed: Angelique Encense. And I wear a lot of Lutens on heavy rotation). Enjoyed the video very much. :)

I love your videos! I collect perfumes as well. My mother tells me you have to get very close to me in order to smell them. I don't want them to over power anyone but I do want people to be able to smell them without having to smell my neck or wrists. Do you have any suggestions?

Replace ments Thank you! ❤ Everone is different, it all comes down to your skin type and the fragrances you are using. Some people ind that their skin eats their scent while others don't have that problem at all. What type of fragrances do you use? I think layering helps with this issue. With layering, you can control how strong you want your scent to be. I will show you how I layer in my next video and hopefully it can help you in projecting your scent a little more 😊

I cannot wear cirtruses in the summer, they turn sour on my skin. My scents have to be powdery during the summer. Lemon fragrances are the worst, the are so sour on me. I wear a jasmine and tuberose oil that i make to the gym, I get many compliments, I can't go to the gym without smelling nice. I love Jadore so much, I wear it to work and still get so many compliments. Chanel 5 is what I wear on hot days, it's soapy and powdery, I like it.

Casually Fragrant Nice!! You should check out the La Petite Robe Noir line if you like sweet perfumes! My favourite is the Black Perfecto which is a sweet cherry bomb! You might also like Tonka Imperiale for a gourmand kick ❤ Mon Exclusif and Le Plus Beau Jour De Ma Vie are also great sweet delicious ones 😊

I loved this video Ami ❤️ thank you habebti I’m from Kuwait and I’ve been watching your videos since two years ago I think☺️ and I’m always checking out stuff you show in your videos and I absolutely love your choices🌹 I can relate to spraying perfume to want to feel a certain way and I thought this was a great idea for a video because I do the same thing and get a good laugh at my logic behind it🤣 How about showing us perfumes that remind you of other perfumes..something about them smelling similar to ones you have in your collection..I am interested in that because that’s how I layer my perfumes..I find somethings similar smelling with a tiny touch of difference and layer them on top of each other.

there is a very good Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier scent that resembles Opium, but replaces the dominant myrrh in the base of the original with sandalwood (and patch): George Sand. I also think you'd love their Or des Indes - do you know it? (It's an ethereal and melancholic opoponax based light oriental). Talking about which, I've never seen you talk about Carthusia, or Etro?

(just watched 5min) So I have a small number of fragrances (like 20) and I have to say, I could never wear fragrances like this. Sleeping with a fragrance, that's insane. Wearing it just around the house? Hell, I'll put on body spray around the house. But what do I know, next time I play video games, I'll put on my Creed Viking LOL

Everyone is different I guess. I wear fragrances mainly for myself first. I find that perfumes help me sleep, make me feel certain emotions and make me happy so I wear them for me. I have a collection of over 1200 bottles of perfume so I don't mind if they are being 'wasted' around the house or while I sleep! Creed Viking is nice, you should try spraying some on while you watch tv next time ;)

Used to have samsara and love it, love Dolce Gabbana as well. Now for Opium I had it but can’t stand it anymore, I also had belle d Opium and didn’t like it. I also bought Dior J adore but didn’t like it and gave it. I don’t like Chanel 5 but I have 5 eau premiere and love it 😍.

Hi Ami I laughed out loud when you said your hubby hates some of your fragrances I have the same issue there are some old school perfumes that I not allowed to wear around hubby he says I smell like his grandmother or something his mom used to wear in the 70 “ aging” not sexy and I’m like damn ok ok I got it the rose perfume by Oscar de la Renta he especially hates he screams out omg “I’m dying “lol so I only wear it when he is not around it’s amazing how guys react to some perfume 🤦‍♀️ the perfume that is a go to is Prada candy and I layer it with the same bath and body works body spray I’m surprised to see you do too there is something about that mix it’s very girly and delicious absolutely!
