David’s point in Psalm 22 was that God had NOT forsaken Him. And the same was true for Jesus’ Aramaic quote. That through this tragedy comes glory to God and His purpose. Not forsaken! Glory to God. “I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father who sent me”

Thank you, Brother Allan for such an important message in this video. My wife passed away from Covid in that terrible year of 2020, and even though I had great faith that my wife would be healed, I've come to learn that God is sovereign over my faith and all my prayer requests. I'm closer to the Lord now than I've ever been in my entire life, and that's what I really need.

One of the most important lessons in this day and age of constant judgement and calling people out, that even the most righteous of us go through trials and tribulations, questioning our faith. But it is not our job to judge them but to support them and pray for them. Loving this series!

NO Mr Parr, CHRIST CRIED OUT IN A LOUD VOICE IN ADDRESSING THE CROWD--NOT CRYING OUT TO GOD IN DOUBT. Christ NEVER doubted.....only Thomas the disciple did. Christ asked the cup pass from him in his humanity and weakness(still asking from the Father)....but to say he doubted is Theologically WRONG. “my God, my God why have you forsaken me?” Is The opening line of Psalm 22 . **What you forget is that The OT was not split into chapters and verses like the NT .The Jews of old would recite the first line of a piece of scripture and it would bring to memory the rest of that passage. In doing so Jesus in a loud voice he gets the attention of the crowd to see the scene of the crucifixion in the words of Psalm 22, and so is fulfilling it before the very eyes of the witnesses there. how the events , the ridicule , the casting of lots for his garment, the wagging of heads , the dogs surrounding him , how he is despised ....and the critical point verse 16 "They pierced My hands and My feet" this is the prediction of the means of his death ...crucifixion...predicted hundreds of years before it ever Happened. The miracle of fulfilled prophecy even at the foot of the cross.**

I'm not sure why people are so eager to criticize other people's viewpoints because the Bible is always fresh and speaks to each person differently and with a unique revelation. God speaks to everyone of us differently based on our situations and circumstances, and I feel that this servant of God was simply delivering the word in a fresh perspective that the Holy Spirit had given to him. Be like the Bereans and do research to learn the reasons why he would deliver such a revelation rather than acting like the Pharisees who were too hasty to accuse. ( Have a ready to learn Spirit, it's not always about what you know or what the other preachers/theologians says rather it's about what God is saying.... And it's pure wisdom to correct with love )

Jesus didn’t choose to meaninglessly quote scriptural text to check a box as to say well that’s been fulfilled. I (Jesus) needed to say this and I said it although I DON’T BELIEVE IT. I’m not sure you understand what you’re implying about Jesus’ motives in that moment. The more appropriate understanding of Jesus’ word to the Almighty God and Father is that Jesus was “forsaken” in the sense of him being left helpless on the tree. The Greek word for FORSAKEN is “egkataleipō”and one definition indicates the word refers to “LEAVE HELPLESS” and that’s exactly what God did and what He needed to do in order to fulfill His purpose of the ransom. Satan told Jesus what God could do on his behalf and Jesus didn’t refute any of it. So, if God wanted Jesus off that tree he could have removed him. *LUKE 4:9-11* But HE DIDN’T. God left Jesus helpless ie forsaken on that tree because He needed to die in order to fulfill God’s promise to faithful mankind.

The Hellenized Greek Jews converts screwed up ever aspect of the Christian ideology in order to understand the Paleo Ghabaray rules, regulations, laws, and decrees. Paleo Ghabaray was not the Greek Jews native tongues. The Go’aym/Gentiles tried the best they could to decipher the Paleo tongues unfortunately they got a lot wrong that’s why the source language moved from Ghabaray to Aramaic to modern day Hebrew/aka Yiddish. These convert had no idea of the vowel system for modern day religious leaders believe the Paleo tongues had no vowels which is not true at all. The changing of language from Ghabaray to Aramaic put the translators in a really bad position especially when it came to the biblical names such a (Jesus) and what happens to the original name of the Messiah when changed to another language like a Greek, it looses its meaning. So going back to the saying when this Greek god was on the cross the language was Aramaic because The Ghabarayic language died. As the source language states in the book of Yashai-Ya’oh (Isaiah) YA’OH’s counsel will be restored. You can read this in the Greek James Bible but you will only find the intricate details in the Paleo Ghabaray tongues.

Alan, I am truly surprised you did not link Psalm 22 !! Jesus was the King of the Jews, as David was. This was the fulfilment of the cry in that messianic passage. The Jews would have recognized that. And while your points may be true, this is our salvation!! We must not domesticate God! It was Spurgeon who wrote; God is too wise to be mistaken…. God is too good to be unkind, When we can’t see his hand, trust his heart. This is not about us.

What makes you think the Jews living at that time could have clearly picked out ONE VERSE from a scroll that was likely not available for most common Jews to read? You people are not critically thinking. You must believe every scroll written by OT writers were available in mass! Please read your bibles. There is NO EVIDENCE that any Jews attending the execution of Jesus and heard him cry out those words knew he was quoting Psalm 22. You only believe that because others before you have connected those words to Psalm 22 and the scriptural record is available for everyone to read TODAY. In many forms of media. That wasn’t the case in the first century. The Jews there believed Jesus was calling out to Elijah. That is 100% supported BY SCRIPTURE. *MATTHEW 27:46-49* *MARK 15:34-36* No one there said oh looks he’s quoting Psalm 22. You have no evidence that anyone made that conclusion. It’s just your unsubstantiated belief.

Great segment, the reason Jesus cried out this way was because God had to remove Himself from His Son. All of the sins of the world was poured out on the Son, past present, and future, God cannot look up on sin period, Jesus was that sin offering even though He did not sin. Also Jesus for the first time was not connected to the Father, (Imagine that, Jesus has always been in the Father, now He has to be disconnected) He had to be alone, that's the darkness that covered the earth reason.

I think it might be a little bit dangerous to say that you can get angry at God. You can be upset sure and cry out in pain but idk if angry is the right word. Maybe frustrated at the fact he isn't answering you but anger could leave some people astray. Anger leads to sin so maybe reword it. Anyway thank you for your ministry.

While I do not in any way at all disagree with anything you said (I give an "amen" to all of it)...I have often wondered if Jesus was doing something He quite often did...quoted Scripture. His words here are from the 22nd Psalm "My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?" In vs 1-20 is the prophetic expressing of what the Messiah would go through (especially vs.16-18), BUT in v.21 the tone changes....the Lord DOES hear. vs.24 says "He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; NOR has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He HEARD." What begins with despair ends in victory!

Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke a verse from Psalm 22 (22:2), replacing the Hebrew word azabtani (from the verb azab - to leave, leave) with the Aramaic savakhthani of equal meaning. Since this psalm contains a prophecy about the Messiah, the Savior wanted the blinded Jews, who continued to blaspheme Him even on the Cross, to show once again that He is precisely the Christ foretold by the prophets. Everything that happened then on Golgotha was predicted with impressive details in this psalm by the prophet David:All who see me swear at me, speak with their lips, nodding their heads: "He trusted in the Lord; let him deliver him, let him save him, if he is pleasing to Him" (21:8-9). The Holy Evangelist tells that the Jews gathered for the execution slandered the Crucified with the same words: he trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he pleases him (Mt. 27:43).

@Allen Parr, don't you realize Jesus was quoting the Old Testament?!?!
@thebeliever5337
@thebeliever5337 Жыл бұрын
Brother Parr, I enjoy your teaching and thank you for your continued work in sharing the Gospel. Please consider the following in regard to this topic. I will start with the 2 things you express at the beginning and the end of your video. Jesus Cries out: My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Yet we know God does not leave us or forsake us, which Joshua 1:5 indicates. (Josh 1:5 ESV 5No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.) How can this be? -Let’s unpack it. -- The reason Jesus cries out is revealed in Psalm 22. The prophetic Psalm that depicts the crucifixion of Jesus in astonishing detail. The Psalm that starts by saying in verse 1: (Psalm 22:1 ESV- 1My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?) -- Please understand this is not a question that Christ is wondering about His purpose; rather, Christ is crying out, for ALL willing to hear, for ALL that know the Scriptures - GO LOOK: CHRIST IS SHOUTING- GO LOOK! - I have fulfilled the prophecy. The prophecy in which was revealed in Psalm 22! - Please keep in mind Psalm 22 was written 1000 years before Christ was crucified and during a time in which crucifixion had not been invented. In addition, during this time they did not have chapter and verse, so it was common place to refer to a scripture by the first sentence. Moreover, the purpose for the cross is God’s redemptive plan, and this prophecy is revealed to us in Gen 3:15. (Gen 3:15 ESV- I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”) Christ at the cross, His death and resurrection, fulfilled the redemptive plan of God. Jesus defeated sin, hell, and the grave- destroying the enemy, and providing everlasting life to all those who believe. - Christ absolutely knew His purpose and let us know IT IS FINISHED! (John 19:30 ESV When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.) -- I hope this sheds some light on what was depicted at the cross when Christ cries out. I have left some key verses of Psalm 22 below; I encourage all to read Psalm 22 and remain in God’s word. -- Psalm 22:6,14-17 ESV (some key verses) 6But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people. 7All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads; 14I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast; 15my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death. 16For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feetb- 17I can count all my bones-they stare and gloat over me; 18they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots. -- All praise and glory to Christ Jesus, KING of Kings and LORD of Lords! 🔥🌷

Interesting choice of words by Jesus on the cross when He cried out "My God, My God...", and not "My Father, My Father...", knowing that during His ministry on earth, He always addressed Him as "My Father" or "Father". Something to mull over. That said, I don't think as believers we should question God, our Father. The scriptures never teach that. Instead, we are encouraged to "cast our cares or our anxieties on Him because it matters to Him concerning us." 1 Peter 5 : 7 Also, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayers and pleading with Thanksgiving let your request be made known to God" Philippians 4:6 This is what the believer should do in times when things don't make sense and frustrations seem to abound around us. We SHOULD NEVER QUESTION God. No never. We aren't taught that in scripture. Job tried it and we see how that went down.

WE NEED TO BE SANCTIFIED FIRST BEFORE RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT. Why did Jesus say, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? (My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?)", just before dying? 34 "And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" MARK 15:34 The Holy Spirit had to have left Jesus' body, for at that time it was filled with all the sins of the world and unclean. He (God the Holy Spirit) re-entered Jesus, when He was resurrected, without blemish and cleansed of all our sins. 1 "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;" ISAIAH 11:1-2 2 "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 1 JOHN 2:2 24 "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." 1PETER 2:24

Dear Allen Parr; so far I’ve been following all your commentaries and teachings from The Word of GOD. But this is the first time I disagree with you. I’m a “nobody”, but I dare to tell you that if we look closer and through the eyes of the SPIRIT, we can understand that Al that very moment JESUS was receiving “all the punishment we deserve” for our sins. And if we consider that GOD being perfect and three times HOLY, “can’t have any communication with sin”. And JESUS a was bearing the whole human race sins on HIM. So besides the physical, emotional and mental suffering HE experienced, “THE WORST PUNISHMENT FOR A SINNER” is the separation from GOD. (Condemnation) and that’s precisely what JESUS experience in that moment. To HIM it was like being in hell, separated for a moment from HIS deity “for once and the only moment in eternity” and from HIS a fellowship with The FATHER and the HOLY SPIRIT. And that was the worst pain HE could ever experienced, so we won’t have to suffer it for an eternity. For the wages of sin is death…

The bible tells us why God turn His face away from people ( Isaiah 59:2). Which mean when Jesus called out " My God My God why have You forsaken Me ?? " This was in fact proof He was bearing the sins of the world. Sins so great and terrible , that the Father put up the barrier and turned His face away from Jesus, because of the sins He bore for us.

"My God My God, Why have you forsaken me?" Jesus was calling on his God/his father, therefore, Jesus is not God. So simple. Allen, a god who has a god cannot be the true god. Jesus is a so-called god. Therefore, Trinitarians and Binitarians are practicing idolatry when they worship Jesus as God. Jesus is God's only begotten (uniquely created) Son. Jesus is also Mary's only begotten (uniquely created) Son. Begotten means created. The true God, Jehovah/Yahoweh, does not have a heavenly father or a human mother. Creatures have fathers and mothers. God is not a creature!

You clearly are biblically illiterate: Christ cried in a loud voice in addressing the crowd in front of him, not crying out to God in doubt. . . “my God, my God why have you forsaken me?” Is The opening line of Psalm 22 . *What you forget is that The OT was not split into chapters and verses like the NT .The Jews of old would recite the first line of a piece of scripture and it would bring to memory the rest of that passage. The miracle of fulfilled prophecy even at the foot of the cross.*

When he said these words he was quoting Psalms 22. Just as in teaching by even the Rabbis...they would say one scripture and didn't read the whole passage..the people memorized scriptures. I think even the soldiers there knew.. later in the verse it describes the throwing lots for his garments and the nails ect. Why the soldier said Surely this was the son of God. Tho I had wondered of this statement.. many years ago I had heard a sermon on this. Tho your statements are still valid..it was showing prophecy fulfilled. Kind of like his last sermon before he died. That wasn't what preacher had said. But to me. It was what I kinda saw.

@@Failur3i5n0tan0pt1on there was a REASON he said these words. I didn't say he said these TO fulfill the prophecy. But to remind them of the prophecy IN Psalms 22.. the crucifixion WAS the prophecy being fulfilled. Maybe u need to read Psalms 22. Cuz the soldier recognized the fulfillment. And I kinda think that that verse had something to do with his recognition of the Psalms he had heard by Jews even he knew what the verses that followed described

@@kuiama23 Yes, why he said those words because he was left helpless ie forsaken. How much more helpless could a person be with nails in his hands and feet while hanging on a tree. He died as an accursed person. He was slowly being asphyxiated, as he took each breath it became harder to breathe. This is the definition of being forsaken or left helpless as the Greek word suggest. And perhaps you should revisit Psalms 22. Just read the entire first verse. Did God save Jesus as the second sentence ask, “why are you far from SAVING me”? So, did God remove Jesus from the tree? So, the forsaken statement precedes what Jesus would have liked for him to do in that moment which was SAVE HIM from dying this HORRIBLE DEATH and dying as a criminal.

@@Failur3i5n0tan0pt1on so in other words. It's ONLY about being foresaken. Nothing about prophecy being fulfilled. Nothing about in Psalms about the crucifixion. Or gambling for his clothing. It ONLY about the question of being forsaken. Cuz in the End of the chapter... The song they would sing that helped in memorization in itself. They only thought Jesus felt God had forsaken him. They wouldn't even THINK about what the following verses would continue in saying. Interesting. Cuz a person can say one line in a song and I'm singing the WHOLE thing . Cuz in Psalms David would ALWAYS have praise to God later. The human fragility of questioning or complaining is always followed by praise or victory. So. I guess his mom thought my son feels that God doesn't care. Then WHAT made this Roman soldier say he was God's son. The fact the Psalms was playing out exactly and Jesus would have had No way of controlling what this prophecy said would occur. Me doing a bit of ad-libbing that in a way it was a last sermon. Simply with a verse that the people WOULD know what is said later. I ADD to an OBVIOUS situation of the WORDS used that ... He was still human.. but Jesus used quotes ALL THE TIME of a part of a scripture.. he didn't HAVE to explain the scripture...or even expand on the chapter to explain it. They KNEW what followed. But he would then HAVE a sermon that related. I won't respond back. It's obvious that the Simple Obvious issue is ALL I see and ALL u even WANT to see. And sorry bud. I didn't make this up. But when I Heard this information. I immediately got out my Bible and read the chapter. And until I HAD. the My God why have u forsaken me. Took on alot DEEPER meaning than he was human too. Using the ACTUAL VERSE HE QUOTED. it WASN'T an accident. And it wasn't just feeling forsaken.

@@kuiama23 Jesus clearly mentioned one line from Psalm 22, did he not? I don’t know what else you’re talking about. Jesus mentioned one line at that moment. A line that appears in the FIRST VERSE of Psalm 22. I’ll shut this down easily because you don’t appear educated on the events that transpired that day. You:”simply with a verse that the people WOULD know what is said later.” Who would know? Your thoughts are so disjointed. I’m having trouble following you and your logic. But if you’re suggesting the Jews or those attending the execution that day would recognize those words from Psalm 22 then, why did the Holy Spirit inspired Mark to write these words as comments made by those in attendance? *MARK 15:35-36* - When some of those standing there heard this, they said, ➡️“See, he’s calling for Elijah.”⬅️ 15:36 - Someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, fixed it on a stick, offered him a drink, and said, “Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down.” Now, those standing close enough to hear Jesus thought he was calling for ELIJAH, not God. 🤔 But they all knew what he was quoting? Let me DOUBLE up on my evidence. Let’s see what Matthew recorded as being commented or understood by the onlookers and bystanders as to what Jesus was saying. *MATTHEW 27:47-49* - When some of those standing there heard this, they said, ➡️“He’s calling for Elijah.”⬅️ 27:48 - Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge, filled it with sour wine, put it on a stick, and offered him a drink. 27:49 - But the rest said, “Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.” Again, Matthew, writing under inspiration, indicates that they thought he was calling for ELIJAH and not God. But you say they knew Jesus was quoting Psalm 22, right? Also, are you suggesting the Roman soldiers read the scroll of Psalm 22? Why would pagan Roman soldiers read the scroll of Psalm 22? Please enlighten me! Was it not the EARTH QUAKING under their feet that compelled them to acknowledge Jesus being the Son of God? 🤔 *MATTHEW 27:54* My advice to you is spend more time studying God’s word instead of wasting it on YT. You don’t know much about scripture. I would devote myself to serious study if I were in your shoes.

Or to use more familiar Eastern terminology..."my destiny!" You're welcome

the problem of teachers is that they teach doctrine instead of scripture which is already doctrine .... if you take the external doctrine away then you will see that Yahusha (jesus) has a elohim ... people don't understand that Yahusha was created because the doctrine had blinded them ... this is what Yahusha think about the external doctrine ... (Matt 16:12 [KJV]) Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. verses that say that he was created (Rev 3:14 [KJV]) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; (Col 1:15 [KJV]) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: why do we say he has a elohim (Matt 27:46 [KJV]) And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (John 17:3 [KJV]) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 20:17 [KJV]) Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. why did thomas said (John 20:28 [KJV]) And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. for the same reason paul did (Rom 1:8 [KJV]) First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. they knew that the messiah was representing elohim in the old testament we know that there is only one elohim and his name is Yahuah how do we know he was representing elohim (John 1:18 [KJV]) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (1John 4:12 [KJV]) No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. who abraham saw was Yahusha representing Yahuah in (Gen 18:1 [KJV]) And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; when was he created? ... in the first day... in the beginning of the creation of elohim (Gen 1:3 [KJV]) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. why was he created? because no man can see elohim and live (Exod 33:20 [KJV]) And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. adam saw Yahusha not Yahuah in the garden and so did abraham and this is why he said (John 8:58 [KJV]) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Abraham did die there so he didn't see elohim but the messiah doctrines of men blinds your eyes from knowing the truth ... it was the same problem that Yahusha had to show his disciple why they didn't enter and avoid other to enter into the kingdom ... they didn't have no love in them ... money , tradition and religion was their elohim ... they put themself above elohim ... elohim is love and spirit ... (1Cor 13:2 [KJV]) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

This has not baffled true teachers at all. It is the name of one of the psalms. Just like the Our Father is the name of what you call the Lord's Prayer. He is calling out the psalms that has predicted what He is going through. To teach what *you* think it does is a terrible misguidance. Is this what is meant by going by only the Bible? Psalm 22 *1My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?* Why are you so far from helping me, from the words of my groaning? 2O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer; and by night, but find no rest. 3Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. 4In you our ancestors trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. 5To you they cried, and were saved; in you they trusted, and were not put to shame. 6But I am a worm, and not human; scorned by others, and despised by the people. 7All who see me mock at me; they make mouths at me, they shake their heads; 8“Commit your cause to the Lord; let him deliver- let him rescue the one in whom he delights!” 9Yet it was you who took me from the womb; you kept me safe on my mother’s breast. 10On you I was cast from my birth, and since my mother bore me you have been my God. 11Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help. 12Many bulls encircle me, strong bulls of Bashan surround me; 13they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion. 14I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast; 15my mouth[a] is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death. 16For dogs are all around me; a company of evildoers encircles me. My hands and feet have shriveled;[b] 17I can count all my bones. They stare and gloat over me; 18they divide my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots. 19But you, O Lord, do not be far away! O my help, come quickly to my aid! 20Deliver my soul from the sword, my life[c] from the power of the dog! 21 Save me from the mouth of the lion! From the horns of the wild oxen you have rescued[d] me. 22I will tell of your name to my brothers and sisters;[e] in the midst of the congregation I will praise you: 23You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him; stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel! 24For he did not despise or abhor the affliction of the afflicted; he did not hide his face from me,[f] but heard when I[g] cried to him. 25From you comes my praise in the great congregation; my vows I will pay before those who fear him. 26The poor[h] shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the Lord. May your hearts live forever! 27All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him.[i] 28For dominion belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations. 29To him,[j] indeed, shall all who sleep in[k] the earth bow down; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust, and I shall live for him.[l] 30Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord, 31and[m] proclaim his deliverance to a people yet unborn, saying that he has done it.

I would say that the worst pain Jesus went through, was not the physical pain, but that of his fathers absolute rejection of the sin that Jesus had become. The rejection had begun the night before in the Garden of Gethsemani before he was ever physically beaten.

Pastor, you asked a question in this video, and Im paraphrasing, "would it change your pain if God answered?". My answer was a resounding YES. Even if it was an explanation for why an answer to a prayer was a NO, it would go such a long way to help us adjust to the new reality.

So much of what could be said to us about any tragedy is already said to us somewhere in scripture (whether implicitly, or explicitly whether interpretation or application). Meaning in the pain and disorientation of the pruning we have to use what strength we can muster towards abiding in Christ's word. John 15. The Spirit speaks to us there, comforts us there, and reorients us there. Rarely has knowing 'why' resolved or softened the pain. Often it creates more frustration, more thoughts racing, and more accusations leading to more anger and weariness.

Nothing can be 100% fully one thing, and 100% fully another thing at the same time. If Jesus was at all times 100% fully God, then that would prevent him from being any percent man. It would exclude anything fleshly and any temptation. To explain Jesus this way is just words which may sound good, but which make absolutely no sense in reality. The gospels simply describe that Jesus began his existence in Mary's womb and was only made immortal after his father raised him from the dead. He was subject to all human temptations and emotions because he was a man with our nature, but different in that he did no sin.

You ask, "would getting an answer help the pain?" maybe. But it would help, knowing that whatever the situation, knowing that God designed it that way in your/my life. Rather than always wondering if I messed up, if somewhere i made an unknowing choice that caused my situation. Or if someone else made that choice for me. would it might help with closure, instead of hoping for something that will never come.

Oof. No sir. what makes more logical sense? That Jesus was questioning God, who both knew what had to be done to save mankind, and thinking He had forsaken him? Or that Jesus was quoting scripture in order to fulfill prophecy? Yes, there are many interpretations on this, and yes, it is possible that you are wrong. So like you said, its inportant to not be dogmatic about your own interpretation.
