I encountered quite a few in that area, especially with cubs when I was hiking Appalachian trail.I had 2 cubs run up a tree and one got to the top and fell out of it.I was scared shitless cause I knew momma wasn't far behind them.I will never forget that day,sticks with me 20 years later!Have a great day and enjoy the Smokies.

when is say be lucky this is what i mean. is it luck though? right place right time, one thing for sure folks if you aint out you never gonna witness something like this. hi outlaw elo to the wife. well deserved to see and witness such an amazing thing. she the bear mother is in such good condition her must have been out mouching most the winter. reading wildlife this well by yourself outlaw was brilliance knowing how close to let her and cub come. as always be lucky pall.

If was going to move somewhere, Tennessee would certainly be one of the top on my list. That was a very unique encounter indeed , it was like that momma knew I was not a threat . It was beautiful
