Thank you so much! I am glad you found me! Yay! Yep, I have dedicated my Channel to Fresh Milled Flour recipes, and how to troubleshoot and improve if any struggles! Because I was there, I had many flops in my days! lol. But, it helped me learn, improve, and understand where things go wrong. So, now I can share that with others! Thanks again! Happy Baking!

Our family called the peanut blossom cookies 'Three Kings Cookies' because they look like crowns that the Three Kings would have worn.

That is a great name for them! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Kara! Can’t wait to try these peanut butter cookies! I haven’t had them in so long because I couldn’t find a good recipe. Also, I love love love how you keep it simple with the cut out cookies. Much more fun for the grandkids than how I usually try to make them look “perfect” with the icing and all. I’m gonna be making those also very soon with my grand daughter ;)

I am so glad I found your channel. Why aren’t you using your new mixer with these cookies?
@GrainsInSmallPlaces11 ай бұрын
I am glad you are here! This was actually my cookie recipe video reposted from last year. So, in the video, I didn't have my Ankarsrum mixer yet! But, I still do love my little Bosch compact mixer and use it occasionally for smaller jobs.

@@GrainsInSmallPlaces so you’ve taken me down this rabbit hole of introducing fresh grains to my family. I didn’t realize it was so easy, especially milling the grain. I haven’t done much google searching but do you have a post going through the grains, storage, gluten content etc? This is where the science nerd in me takes over. I am waiting on Nutramill to restock and I am ordering a mill. Thank you so much again for creating and posting.

? Can i use palm shortening? I would like to know if it works to make the recipe. THANK U FOR YOUR TIME.
@GrainsInSmallPlaces10 ай бұрын
Yes, shortening would work in the cutout cookies, I am not sure if it would give the right texture for the peanut butter cookies however.

What grain mill would you suggest to purchase for a first timer? Thanks
@GrainsInSmallPlaces Жыл бұрын
I love mine! Here is the review video I made about it, and some of the other ones I have had. But, there was a huge influx of people buying mills on Black Friday, so most are out of stock. They have told me they are hoping to have them back in stock soon. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2XPZJqcoNmnd68si=Pr04a7cVFz0c1U1E

@@GrainsInSmallPlaces I can’t seem to find a recipe that uses all fresh milled flour with sour dough instead of yeast. The conversion from yeast is my problem. I love cooking with sourdough. I’ve just started milling flour. Thank you for your help. I just found your channel and I really enjoy it.

I tried making the cut out cookies and your snickerdoodles. They didn’t rise but flattened way out. I followed your recipe exactly. What did I do wrong?
@GrainsInSmallPlaces Жыл бұрын
Possibly need more flour. If measuring by cups, it an vary greatly as everyone scoops differently. Also the humidity, elevation, and even the freshly milled flour itself differs in moisture level. Try adding a bit more flour, and it should come together! Also, make sure with the cutout cookies, the dough is nice and chilled. They will flatten out if the dough is room temperature. I hope this helps! Happy Baking!
