Pia has scored an astonishing 5.5 points out of 6 in the last six games catapulting her to 7th place with the last round remaining . Alice Lee - Pia Cramling match is like the famous Victor Korchnoi - Carslen match where the veteran dispatched the future world champion in an endgame . But very great things are expected of Alice Lee who is probably expected to cross 2700 elo in future which would make her only the second woman to do so . But there is also R Vaishali who is on the cusp of becoming GM in this very tournament if she wins her last game . She needs 2 elo points to reach 2500 and becoming GM . All in All , a great tournament for woman chess . Anna can celebrate with the Botezes (with whom she is currently staying ) not only of her mother's success but other women as well . 😊

@spindoctor6385
@spindoctor6385 6 ай бұрын
It is impressive at both ends of the age spectrum.... and in the middle. Kids brains are wired to take in new information, Remembering 100 different lines is easier at 14 than at 60+, or even 30+. But then they lack the experience and patience that helps in longer middle and end games. That completely flips as people get older. Obviously these are generalisations and there will be exceptions. But it is all part of what makes chess so good.

If anyone doesnt follow the tournament, pia got 5.5 points out of her last 6 games and tomorrow she was lucky to get a draw with the current #2 Anna Muzychuk who is one point ahead of Pia , pia will play white and with a win she has big chances to get tie break . If anna reads this message i definitely think she should cover the game live tomorrow in her twitch , we will be there to support Pia
@biophil
@biophil 6 ай бұрын
She has bad tie-breaks bc.of her bad start, but with a Vaishali win, her win, and three draws from Tan, Stefanova, and Garifullina she's in the candidates! Because Anna Muzychuk has already qualified, there might be even a chance to get to third place with a less unlikely scenario, but I'm not sure.

Hi I'm from the U.S. and hope the best for the young girl from here. As far as the game with your mom. The young girl no matter how good she is, was Is still young. Meaning she was probably nervous and scared like the guy from Gotham chess when he played your mom after playing you blind folded....... Their's a lot to be said about experience.... not meaning in just the game of chess but in life..... your Mom really had her before the game even started. Just started wating your videos. So now I have found out how your mom did. Hope she did well to finish out the tournament. I'm becoming a huge fan of you and your parents chess playing......... All the best from Phoenix, Arizona, USA...........

The more tired I get, the faster you speak🤣🤣 I rarely rewatch a segment of a video. With you, I’m watching parts of the video, 4+ times in order to capture 1/10th of what’s fully happening on the board. I seriously love learning, and chess is so easy at first glance. It’s the soldiers in the weeds you have to really pay close attention to. Also, seeing moves that have yet to happen, or possibilities… that’s what really sucks me into this game. Hey✌️✌️ TY for all the videos. I’m at home bored, and I’m watching closely, and learning. I’ll never beat a 2000…. But, hopefully I can kick some of my friends and families asses! 🤣🤣🤷‍♂️✌️✌️

Eight year old Bodhana Sivanandan from London won best female competitor at the recent European Championships (Blitz). A star of the future. When she saw a chess set for the first time , she said ' I was interested in how the pieces moved'. I think this shows that chess study is only part of the equation albeit an important one - she is so young. Your brain also has to be wired for success, that is innate mental ability.
