My grandpa gave me this tool, I restored it for him

Hi and welcome to my channel.
This is the first handplane I am doing. Hope you like it. It was a fun restoration, very challenging. The handplane, I got from my grandpa, he is and old mechanic, that also is into woodworking. He taught me how to use tool and how to take care of them. When I got a bit older he gave me a bunch of tools. Many of the are quality tool, but the years has taken a toll on them. I am now on a mission to restore them. This is the result of it.
The handplane is a Stanley type 19.

Great job!! Old planes like the Stanley are great once you restore them. If you plan to use it much you can get new plane blades. They are made from high quality steel and are thicker. They are somewhat expensive but well worth the price. The difference is noticeable. I restore lots of old machines and different wire wheels on a hand drill come in handy. Wear safety glasses as small pieces of wire from the wheel get thrown. Evapo-rust is great too. Cheers.

That Y-shaped part is called the yoke. Be sure to give the bare metal parts a thin layer of camelia oil or something similar to prevent rust. Screws too. 3-in-1 oil work well also. Your grandfather would be proug of how well his old plane looks now. Ten thumbs up!
