I’ve always thought to myself that my english was far worst than all my peers bc i actually got a C6 for my English back in Secondary , i can totally relate to the labelling as ill use my grades to define myself , and it’s totally bad for my mental health , so yes, let’s think positively and not be so harsh on ourself !

Your story hits me so much 😖 I also kinda get a pretty bad for English, mine was C6 for Os and had been letting the grade defining who I am. Similar to you, I always tell people my English sucks. But yes! Thats so true! Thanks for the inspiration, shouldn’t let it affect my confidence in my English proficiency given how I am surviving pretty decently in the NUS theatre studies under English department ☺️

As a nus senior, i would really recommend freshies to go for overseas trips once covid19 gets better... Try to go on an exchange or go for winter schools (enjoy your youth before adulting) but remember to leave summer hols for internships.
