Would have done a compression test before dismantling the head just might have been a faulty spark plug or a plug lead or even an injector but won't hurt to give it a decoke and grind in the valves but before you replace the cylinder head check the pistons and bores great video mate

well done bud. Make sure you re-do the head bolts in the right order - need to ensure you don't warp the head and keep it flat

Have recently done the same. 2.0 16v Audi ACE engine so very similiar. Cleaning the piston crowns has helped tremendously. Check for play in pistons etc. Good luck!
