I planned my wedding and got married like a week after getting engaged and it was literally just my immediately family and his, on a beach 10 min away (it was fast so free), with an officiant and thrifted suit and dress and cute matching rings, and even that was STRESSFUL. I’m sure orchestrating an entire wedding in a diff country for months must be so much work

I selfishly watched this for the scenery.. On your next trip to the south of France visit Albi. It's a beautiful little town with a brick cathedral with a big beautiful pipe organ.. They have organ concerts that are just beautiful.

I love love love how everyone was dressed up at the wedding. In Canada everybody is dressed down at weddings even sometimes in jeans. Weddings are a monumental event in that, it is the joining of two lives together and 2 families together. They should be treated with the respect they deserves.

What to wear to a weeding is very cultural and subject to family tradition. Dressing up or dressing down as long as the bride and groom are happy that’s all the matters. (Last family weeding I went to the groom was in jeans and the bride arrived on a dirt bike. Fancy clothing would be out of place)

Oh noooo, what is it with sickness before weddings! I got married 16 years ago (holy carp) and wouldn't you know, we had some horrible stomach virus take both my fiance AND me down the weekend before the wedding (should be thankful it was at least not the weekend of), we were both throwing up for 12-24 hours straight, then my mom got it a few days later, but not as bad, then a few days after that, family arrived in town, then one of my cousins got it a couple days before the wedding, then an aunt had to leave the reception early because she got it, then I think one of my grandmas got it the day after, and I lost track. The only good thing was after my husband and I were over it, it didn't take anyone else down nearly as hard. It gave me a lasting puke phobia for life though, and having 2 kids DID NOT HELP, let me tell you lol. If either of them throw up, I can't eat anything or calm my heartrate whatsoever until they're better. It's really difficult to deal with, wish I could just "get over it" like some people think I should.
