You make it look so easy Fiona!😁 i’m finding myself as you have said million times before loosen up I’m not loose. I’m afraid I’m gonna make a mistake and it’s not about perfectionism. To me, it’s the way you’re laying color so I think I need to chill out and practice practice practice. By the way I love the way that color yellow runs down through her. Absolutely gorgeous !

Your newest painting is exceptional! Really beautiful! I love your latest idea about light. And I appreciate the brush guide. In the U.S., you can buy the individual Silver Brush Black Velvet size 8 at both Cheap Joe's and Blick art supply for $22.75; Amazon has the same brush for $23.75.

Thank you Fiona When I first started out with watercolor, I went and bought the best set of brushes “black silver “ And a set Windsor Newton “ I must confess I have never used the silver ones yet, five +years later…lol Silly I know … -But when it comes to watercolor paints, my very, very favorite is “A Gallo” and I have used all the popular ones name brands, etc. I prefer pans over tubes simply because of storage issues and convenience. You haven’t used silver black velvet! You should! I haven’t tried Gallo yet, but I’d love to! Sometime in the future ⭐️

Artists of our time are so wealthy they can buy any brush, but life is not so easy in italy.

It’s rather a matter of waste too. We are sometimes put in the position where we have to buy sets when we only need one brush.
