I’ve been playing on and off for 20 years and only got into collecting in 2019 because my income allowed it. Went from 2 guitars to 20 and each one is special in its own right. I love seeing other people’s collections more than watching gear reviews. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to seeing more of your guitars!

You sound great! I love it! Yes, I'm learning to finesse bass guitar. It takes lots of experience. To cut down on all the unwanted string sounds. Thanks for listening. Like I said, I just happened on your ad and listened to it. I'm glad you take time to show your fans things like this. That makes you special girl! Sincerely yours Trav

Brilliant video Shannon thanks for sharing. I've never tried a Jazzmaster, having been firmly a Tele user for years now, but I feel very tempted. It has a timeless almost surfy sound, and sounds great with your playing. Look forward to seeing more of your collection. Thanks again.

i am a big tele fan also! i have the american pro ii tele and it is also a guitar i reach for often
@markwood7045Ай бұрын
@@shannonlcallihan Yes!! buddy I'd argue that American Pro Tele II is the best bang for buck of any instrument on sale today. Like, Pro is the word - I could record a whole album or do a live set, and get all the tones I want out of the thing. I think that's why I'm so in love with Telecasters. They just 'work'. The three switch positions essentially limit you but also free you up. It makes me play in the fingers and not just with the pickups. Anyways this is a Jazzmaster post and I'm here for the mighty Jazzer, so I'll save my Tele comments for your future Tele videos! Have a good day.

Inspiring, as always, Shannon! That JM surely sounds great in your work supporting Maggie. Great sometimes to enjoy a guitar that isn't instantly in the Strat/Tele camp and these guitars do that. I'm lucky to own one of the early Mex Classic Player JM's (in Olympic White, tortie 'guard) to which I've fitted a treble bleed circuit and a roller bridge. Result is as good as some guitars I own that cost 3 times as much. Good luck to you, I'm really looking forward to your next reviews!

thank you! i would love to hear it! my first guitar was a mexican made tele and it was maybe $500 at the time.. still one of my favorite guitars to this day.

Dear Shannon Lauren, I have been listening to you playing for several years. Love your work and your motivation to become as good a guitarist as you are now. As you know in Norway (Tora Dahle Aagård) and Sweden (Gabriella Quevado), in Great Brittain (Joan Armatrading) and in Canada (Nicole Cerminara) there are sisters doing their thing and providing hungry ears with soothing guitar music. Hope to hear a lot more of you. I'll try some of your masterly licks on my b/w Jazzmaster. Keep the music going!

Wow! When you hit that Tremelo the first time? We all had smiles on our Faces! That JAZZ MASTER is Very Similar to the JAGUAR..... Shannon, my first "Good" Guitar that I bought was A used Gibson SG... With the Bigsby Trem bar on it..... And Hated how it would throw out Of tune...... So maybe I missed out ? I graduated From H.S. In 1976. Went to Chelsea Voc. H.S. in Down town Manhattan where " Amazingly" The school had started A Music class in My Junior year along with Electrical shop class! Ha! had been playing guitar for 3 years prior. And was actually getting good enough where I was being told, " you should get A better guitar"! So went to 48th st And found the SG @ " WE BUY GUITARS"! Who remembres that place ? Anyways, the SG is long gone unfortunately now have A Fender TELE' An XAVIER LP550 , A Vintage Washburn Acousti...... and A Guild DS40 Tabaco burst "D " Western style acoustic....... And Thank you for Sharing your story!!! Keep Strumming Shannon! God Bless

Hi Shannon thanks for a lovely video. I'll check out some of your playing videos which I'm sorry to say I haven't seen yet. As a guitar 🎸 player myself I think it's not so very important to know everything about specs. But what I know is that choosing the right guitar for yourself is. Some guitars just don't feel right no matter how fancy or exclusive they are You can tell a good guitar when it feels great and resonates with you and is comfortable to play and you don't have to fight it, if you get a buzz from it then that's the one for you. I myself modify all my guitars to my own specs. Most guitars on the market are generic models. Try out as many as you can. Anyway 😊 Have fun, keep on Rockin and all the very best wishes for 2025 and beyond. John.

Love the vid! I have an American Pro II strat I play in my band (sunburst w a light green pick guard) and it's such a solid guitar. I would love to get the JM sometime. I always play my strat in position 2 and 4 to cancel out the hum, do you ever struggle with noise in the pickups, or do you just accept it?

I love those kind of video ! Thanks for sharing all those nice stories A Jazzmaster is the only guitar missing from my "Teenage Dream guitar List" xD and for years I've been postponing the idea of buying one.....! because I'm afraid it will make my other guitar collect dust and become my ultimate guitar... 😶 PS: I think I would put humbucker to make it the ultimate dream guitar for Rock ! xD If I can find one with a very light weight body

My first pro guitar was an early pre-CBS ("pre-'BS" as they were known then) Jazzmaster...$60 from a classmate I worked with... It had the small headstock and sounded very surf-ish ("plunky" I called it)...miss it...

C shaped necks actually refer to the neck profile. Making the shape of the letter C with your hand and placing the guitar neck in your hand will give you a better idea. Classic C neck profiles were more common on vintage guitars, especially from the 50's. They are chunkier necks. Today's modern C neck profiles are not nearly as thick. C and U shaped necks are great for players with larger hands or longer fingers. They provide better grip and result and less hand fatigue.

Hey Shannon, this is a lovely idea to share this 'My Guitars' series ......They are amazing instruments and I hooked the first time I heard your playing style, with superb vocals. Your music is so refreshing, healing, authentic, original & honest. I follow Jeremy Dean on YT, and have you both on my playlist......I regularly play the OurVinyl and Dark Horse Sessions with Jeremy.......shared with friends ! Looking forward to your next release (s) and seeing you live on tour to the UK one day 🙏🏻 I have been following and fascinated by the guitar work and repairs by luthier Tom Woodford on YT, www.youtube.com/@twoodfrd , you get a nice little piece of guitar history too, if you get time its worth a glimpse into his art. Stay Safe as Always🙏🧡🎅☯🕊☯
