Thanks Ron! Yes, you are right about the Verlaine thing - sometimes a certain guitar is needed for a certain sound and Jazzmasters are great for that bright, cutting tone if it's needed. Best wishes, Stuart

Great vid! Love your surf jam to close it out. I bought a JM to ring in the new year and am super happy with it. Bit of a dream guitar for me. Covers all the genres. Surf, rockabilly, punk, garage...

Hi Jason, they really do so much - surf is just the tip of the iceberg. Ironically I bought mine for studio work as I found Strats and Teles weren't quite doing Surf as much as I wanted - I subsequently discovered the full range of a JM!

I love the matching headstocks on these things - I think it works better on JMs and Jaguars than it does on Strats and Teles but maybe that's because I'm so used to unpainted headstocks on the classics. All the best, Stuart

Always been enthralled with the Jazzmaster. I'll be getting one in two days. Bassist by trade, but noodle around a bit on guitar, doing songwriting. I've wanted one of these for 56 years! (Squier Classic Vibe, Sunburst). Great video and playing!

Not a guitar I've ever paid much attention to, but I'm impressed. Admittedly I'm mainly a bassist but I've always kept a strat or a tele (I love the tele) around the house. The question now is would I get away with buying one of these behind her back🤔
@StuartRyanMusic
@StuartRyanMusic 4 жыл бұрын
Hi David, long time Tele player here too - the wonderful thing about a JM is it makes you play differently. Funnily enough I've been playing a lot more bass myself recently so my next target is to sneak another one of those in :)

StuartRyanMusic excellent playing sir. But as for you and David sneaking another axe into the house under your wives’ noses; forget it. THEY KNOW... THEY KNOW.
