Thats white rice fried up with vegetables and cassreep. Where's the grated ginger and chinese spice and a little brown sugar also soy sauce. Cassreep is for pepper pot. I think i will have to get my own KZbin channel. and displayed all my cooking.

Well it’s clear u didn’t watch the video, or you just don’t have basic understanding… there was all those stuff in there minus the soy sauce, which I’m allergic too and I’m pretty sure I mentioned that in the video, cassreep is not only for pepper pot genius, ppl use it for other dishes as well, especially for making certain foods the color u want using the cassreep. And it’s not everything you have to add sugar to, it’s not sweet rice and lastly, as the video is titled, it’s my version so take ya negativity else where, and like you said go make your own sugar rice fried rice and display it. Have a good day..

And by the way the sugar was left back in Guyana Demerara Berbice! That’s why so much of you have diabetes, it’s all that sugar y’all adding to y’all food..

@@modernguyaneseflavors1269 😂😂😂 why do you sound so hurt bro tf? I read that comment and they just added their two sense, it's not that serious. And don't disrespect people from Berbice, keep it mature and continue teaching people how to cook because that's why I came on here to learn and after looking at the comments so sound ignorant af. But anyways, do a video of peppa pot gal 🤓

Casareep was only used in the old days because the old folks couldn't get soy sauce, so they used it to give that colour to the rice. But the proper sauce is soy sauce, real Chinese flavour, and also Chinese five spice gives it that real great flavour.
@modernguyaneseflavors12693 жыл бұрын
I think the casreep gives it a better color than the soy sauce and I’m allergic to soy sauce so that’s kinda my reason also for using the casreep instead.
@wandathornhill12213 жыл бұрын
@@modernguyaneseflavors1269 I know that some folks are allergic to Soy. But some of the folks at home has still held on to the old way of making it. But that's their preference too. I use dark mushroom soy sauce which gives the color, and you can't use a lot of it cause it's really dark. Anyway yours was well made.

The rice is way too white. Who puts casreep in fried rice? You used dark Soya sauce, Oyster sauce, Rice wine, Rice Vinegar, Rice vinegar and sesame oil. I hate frozen veggie in fried rice. Used your fresh veggie like red sweet pepper, yellow sweet peppers, carrots, bokchoy, bora, and beans sprout. Cut all your veggie in Julianne style. Don’t use too much veggie just for colour. You can also used weri weri pepper for flavour. Mixed all your sauces with the teaspoon of sugar in a bowl and throw at the end for tasting. Also when frying your meats fried with five spices, salt and black pepper and a bit of soya sauce. Make sure you keep all the juices you fried your meats with to throw with whatever meat you chooses in your rice. I wouldn’t used broccoli or cabbage in my fried rice , they tend to spoil your fried rice if left over. Good luck next time and you will be able to sell your fried rice.

First of all, the title of this video is “ My Guyanese Fried Rice” , not your style. So that should answer your first question as to who uses casreep on their fried rice. And if you were paying any attention to my voice over, you would’ve understood when I said why I didn’t/don’t use soy sauce. Next time you want to come on someone’s page and criticize the way they cook their version of something, don’t! I don’t remember asking how to cut my veggies. And which part of this video did I mention I was selling anything, look take your criticism else where and your invalid opinions.. And btw.. I don’t add sugar to my food.. hopefully I’ve answered all of your questions today..
