Actually, the washboard is considered a percussion instrument. It was used during slavery. Wired hanger was bent and used to play it.

It was very CLEAN playing, and although different from traditional, quite effective and enjoyable. I can see myself incorporating some of what he did AS fills etc. I enjoyed this ... I'm sure, based on what I observed, he can hit str8 on and groove. I liked what he did however!
