Hey Isabella. What you’re seeing is obvious damage form the keratin straightening treatment you got done. The same thing happened to me about half a year after I got a keratin straightening treatment done. Straightening treatments tend to look great in the beginning but after a while, when your natural hair comes back, you start seeing all the damage. What helped me was using a coconut oil hair mask once a week and avoid all heat products. My hair looks much better now.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I used to use do the Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment and I'm trying to move away from that. So did you just put coconut oil into your hair? Also, how long did you leave it in?
@taytay090105 жыл бұрын
keratin means protein so those types of treatments actually add protein into the hair and when it grows out what you think is the damage is actually just the natural treatment. Now not all keratin treatments are the same so consult your stylist. My clients will act say the keratin treatments make their hair healthier.
@Mariamadu135 жыл бұрын
Its bc keratin straightening it's not forever when you hair is coming back to what he was (specifically if he is curly) will look sooooo frizzy without definition
@sofiamendoza66764 жыл бұрын
I totally agree about the keratin treatment damage, but wouldn´t coconut oil make it worse? I mean the keratin treatment was a protein treatment, her hair in this video is clearly protein "overexposed " and coconut oil is kinda a protein source so it would make it worse.

As someone who has always had frizzy hair I've found using sulfate and pareben free shampoo and conditioner has worked wonders ✨ I've heard my friends complain that it's too expensive but I use herbal essences shampoo and conditioner which is £8 from superdrug it's also really good as it uses bpa free plastic and responsibly sourced ingredients 🌹 after I wash my hair ill dry it with a microfiber cloth and run some oil through the ends just a little though and it absorbs over night xx I hope that helps

frizzy hair is just dry hair which is a result of using sulfates. Many companies do this to get your hair "squeaky clean" but all this does is strip your hair of what it needs and this leads to your hair reaching for the moisture in the air. To get rid of frizz you might want to start putting oils into your hair, such as rosehip oil or jbco for moisture control and/or using sulfate free shampoos, a cheap and student budget friendly brand is maui moisture as well as shea moisture x hope this helps!!

I have very similar hair to you , Length and colour and texture , My tips are don’t sleep in your hair wet , For example I used to wash my hair around 9pm and chill for an hour and go to sleep around 10pm and my hair would still be wet and I would wake up in the morning with that kind of frizz too , and Have you tried the Garnier 3 in 1 Papaya mask ? You can keep it in without rinsing it out and it has made my hair so sleek and it’s good because it doesn’t make my hair greasy after a day or two .

Hey Isabella :) we don't have similar hair types (I have very coarse hair) but as someone who's had hair that felt like ramen noodles I may be able to help. First I would recommend getting a sulphate free shampoo and a silicone free conditioner (Hask, Maui Moisture, palmers and Sea moisture are all great shampoo brands) and silicones in contidioner (anything that ends in cone) will build up around your hair to give the appearance of healthy hair but your hair will be snapping with lots of use. Use a good deep conditioner that doesn't contain silicone (garnier make a great Shea Butter and Banana mask) and de tangle your hair in the shower while your conditioner is in it. Hope this helped xx

You could try a paraben and sulfate free shampoo/conditioner, such as cantu or shea moisture - you can get these in boots or superdrug. Has your diet changed? It could be a result of that. Also, try out a microfibre towel to dry your hair after washing, (these are tips and tricks for CURLY hair, but mainly point to dealing with FRIZZ). Also - perhaps the porosity in your hair has changed: (countless of videos on it and testing it etc on youtube), and you can try out a rice water soak (again loads of videos on it on youtube) which gives a lot of protein, aka health, shine and makes ur hair grow like crazy!! Also I would HIGHLY avoid a blowdryer and that brush, this is going to make way more frizz.

This happened to me after a very stressful period in my life and I lost a great amount of hair. After the hair loss stopped, my hair turned out as yours. Frizzy and dry, with the weird bumps.. I have had no treatments or colouring that may have caused this. I feel you and I hope you have been able to straighten your hair problems out. I am still trying to figure out how to deal with mine. I just wanted to say that I think you should try to wash your hair more but when you do you should condition twice and make sure they are deep conditioners. I personally use the OGX coconut milk shampoo n conditioner and I leave it in for about 5-10min after I use a hair max from Palmers which you can get in Superdrug. This truly helped my hair to get my hair to be really sleek, moisturised and I can finally put my hands through my hair. I hope this helps xoxo

Hey, your videos were so funny because I had the same problems all my life, the wave I saw on your hair can be because of a keratine problem(old hair/new hair) or using stretch to collect your hair and also frizzy hair can be because of stress or changing hormones (maybe u should take some blood test). honesty I have the same problem and even by leveling up my hormones, nothing changed. I tried all the ways also. the last thing I tried was keratine treatment but I don't blow my hair with high heat and try to use low heat with no stretching my hair and also argan oil and 100% natural shampoo and because I have very oily skin I don't use conditioner also, as long as most conditioners are chemical also. But finally, my hair is not silky (but seems more healthy than before and more straight) and I still have a problem with new hair of mine which is frizzy (the part that grows recently not keratine part). Maybe I will try to use anti frizzy product next. But I do not regret my keratine treatment and I will try to do it again (after one year and a half). maybe my keratine treatment was not very strong because my hair didn't get damaged a lot (of course a little bit at the end) or maybe because I don't stretch my hair with a brush when I'm using a hairdryer. Have a good life, you are beautiful don't let your hair makes you feel not!

I have the same hair structure - my hair hates humidity, they're geting sooo frizzy. I had the same problem with my hair, they were getting thiner and thiner sooo... I have dry and frizzy hair that started falling off at the temples. Even I worries alot and even had sleepless nights because of it which made my hair fall more. So after literally months of research from the past few months I started stressing less, and started applying olive oil and castor to my hair to the scalp and almond oil to the lengths of my hair. And washing it off with anti frizz shampoos and using an anti frizz serum afterwards. It kinda works. My hair fall has reduced and baby hair started to grow.

Found this video after watching you hair journey video :) If your hair is dry and frizzy, don't worry that it'll look too "greasy" if you put treatment into it... Your hair will definitely thank you for it and will look a lot glossier! Try to minimize heat when styling and DON'T shower every day. In your hair journey video I was pretty surprised as to why your hair would still be dry after all the work you put into it and all the supplements you've taken. Showering every day will dry out your skin and hair. Washing you hair only two to three times a week might actually help the condition of your hair a lot since oil builds up on your scalp that you take down to the tips of your hair every time you brush it.

So happy you made this video! I have super long hair too and Ive adopted a pretty rigorous routine to keep it looking healthy. Some stuff I’d recommend though is redken all soft Argan 6 oil, I always put this on my ends and throughout my hair before blow drying and it’s honestly a god sent as I also have frizzy hair and it just keeps it really sleek and shiny. Also a hair mask that is great and super cheap is palmers cocoa butter, they sell it in a big white sachet in most supermarkets, helps to leave it on overnight, makes my hair soooo smooth! ❤️❤️❤️

SO! The frizz you’re seeing in your hair is breakage. Try a professional quality shampoo such as Nioxin 1 anti-thinning shampoo and Nioxin 1 conditioner, or Awapuhi Moisturizing Lather shampoo ($22) and Marula Oil Light conditioner ($25). Kerawhip deep conditioner once a week ($23, I think). SMELLS LIKE MARSHMALLOWS. Has coconut oil in it. SOOOO GOOD, comes out like Reddiwhip! Satin pillowcases help tremendously. Heat protectant! Trim your hair every 6-8 weeks to keep the ends thick and full. Going long stretches without a proper trim is only gonna hurt more in the long run. :(

ok so, we have very different hair types (mines thick and curly) but it gets frizzy as well. i suggest you watch some curly hair videos because these girls have the best tips on how to get rid of frizz. use sulphate and silicone free shampoos and conditioners, use a microfiber towel or cotton t shirt to dry your hair instead of a normal towel (they're said to be less abrasive on hair), some say that rinsing your hair in cold water helps but personally ive never seen a difference. but yeah i recommend watching videos of girls with curly hair to get rid of that frizz! much love xx

@liss86283 жыл бұрын
This is very relatable. But I also can't use a hair dryer. My hair is naturally very dry and so blow drying it makes the ends of my hair extremely dry. My method is just letting it air dry and then straightening it the next day.

I use to do that however I felt like it was damaging my hair just the same if not more because of the direct heat from the straightener even with a protectant on. Seriously, you should try using the coconut oil as a serum. I do that and it DOES work miracles. You just have to figure out the ideal amount of coconut oil for your hair. Start with a quarter (coin) of coconut oil in the palm of you hands and use it with the leave in treatments... if it gets too oily, it doesnt mean it didnt work, it just means you should reduce and adjust the amount of coconut oil. If it still looks frizzy, then it means you should use a little more...

Put olive oil in your hair. I am a 55 year old woman from America who is obsessed with her hair and I'll tell you exactly what I did to get my hair to grow back to. I used tea tree original great product. Something that I learned from my daughter who researched her. You never wash your hair. And I'll tell you what you do. You wash your scalp condition your hair. You wash the top of your head and you scrub with the nails like you massaging just you scalp then you rinse it out and you condition your hair and make sure you get the ads and you will leave it in as long as you can even overnight if you have to. No hot water on your hair. Don't go in the sun for a long. Of time . Put it up every night. Use a comb wide teeth no hair brush. you start with the ends and work your way up. When you wash your hair wash your hair upside down so that you getting the whole scalp. make sure your red sing it's thoroughly because my daughter has build up and it caused dandruff and scalp to get right and never go to bed with your hair wet. There's something called number 10 and I did a purple little bottle it's kind of expensive but allow shoe 6-7 months for like $35 . and with your diet the most important thing is protein eat lots and lots of protein you need at least 55 grams of protein as an adult. as we all know a guy here is dead and I nails that I hear with made up of protein right so if you can shed Desales quickly you get newer ones so they're newer ones are going to be more healthier than the old ones that stick around your hair goes with Stage certain times of the year. Certain patchy hair is not growing it's game called the dominant stage. each person lose 50 to 100 his so once you lose a hundred his new ones. Coming in. I learned this from research. and I do know what I'm talking about because I am double fanatic about my hair.

my hair is the same as yours and it was really thin. it wasnt as long but because of its thinnes it didnt even look long so i decided to cut it. it got thicker but i hate it when ita short. even when i straighten it it looks so bad and since my hair is short i cant leave it open. one of the biggest mistake i made is buying all those expensive products and using almost 10 things on my hair like you and because your hair is really thin at the ends using too much things makes it even thinner. İ found a way to get it thicker and this reduces frizz i use -castor oil -sweet almond oil -snake oil i put a spoon of these in a cup and add olive oil. i apply it in every part and leave it in for as long as i can the best solution is overnight. use it until all the oils finish and you will see a change. what your doing right now with using all these products is making your hair look good for a day and your ruining your hair even more with heat and products. if you try my solution i hope it helpss

as you age your body produces less oil ..also your body produces less keratin..the cells on the outer cuticle become more fragile...making it look rougher...protein etc and keratin give the shape to your hair ....i found my hair got much straighter as i got older ...some people find it goes curly...the loss of oils and protein make it look duller too ....the best thing is giving treatments as you can conditioning protein oil etc...i don't really believe tools that are modern used properly today cause much damage maybe really old ones...its a little bit of trial and error tbh.

Hair is, in fact, already dead. The length portion that is. The root and the hair folicle are alive. So, as hair grows, it does get beaten and battered and can look weathered. Add to that stressers like diet change, environment changes (baseboard heating vs boiler or forced air), eating too little fats, not getting enough vitamins, starting new medication, hormones---you name it, it can affect your hair. I had pin straight hair as a kid---it would hold a curl, but it had zero curl. Until I hit 15. My hair at that point was long enough to sit on, and I noticed a photo of me at our cottage, it was vey wavy at the ends. My Dad had natural curly hair that my brother got, but I thought I got my Mom's hair. Nope. My texture changed and while I never got ringlets until much older, I had waves if I air dried. I also began taking medication at that point, so it's possible that affected it. Now, as you age--meaning getting gray hair, your texture will change again because gray hair is different. My hair now will dry in ringlets. That's from the gray, which in my case, is curly. So, my suggestion is to look at your genetics, diet, stress and hormones. Wishing you the best!

I would recommend using a soft t shirt to dry your hair with! I find it really reduces fizz when compared a towel

Do not use coconut oil! Don't. It has protines (likekerstin - same thing). At first hair is beautiful and than goes dry and moore dry. What I do: First put some moisturaiser like aloe gel (sometimes I make a hair toner with tea and honey)and than argan oil. Let it stay under foil hat for some warmth for 30 - 60 minutes. Than wash it with gentle shampo (with no SLS). Than Conditioner. Dry my hair with towel and use some oil for ends. But I dont have thin hair. My hair was dry after a year of useing coconut oil once a week. So recovered them with this method (oiling, washing, oiling).

@Isabella Demarko Have you tried sulfate free and silicone free shampoo and conditioner? My hair is dry and frizzy like yours but naturally wavy. Switching my shampoo and conditioner hasn't entirely fixed my hair but it has made a very big improvement. Maybe check it out and see if it could help you? Good luck

Funny to see how she had to stop all this to embrace her beautiful, wavy hair. This idea of straight hair being the most beautiful is damaging minds.

Scab hair after the straightener and lack of hormones. Your problem is from inside out, is growing already damaged, dry and thin, you need help from a specialist in hormones.

Hey girl. Ingredients *really DO* matter!! Like I said in my post on your other video... Your hair needs balance and I'm thinking you have protein overload or your hair doesnt like proteins. That sh. & cond. By John freida has hydrolyzed silk amino acids. = proteins. My hair HATES proteins. Littlest ones. Or the tiniest bit of conditioner with proteins touch my hair its game over. Frizzy. Dull no shine.. Breakage... Coarse.. Try no proteins and just hydrating products for now :) promise you it might work as soon as you stop proteins

I agree sulfates are really bad for your hair. They’re used in house hold cleaning agents to remove grime, they’re used in car products and much more because it’s basically a degreaser. I don’t think anyone’s hair or skin needs something so aggressively stripping that you need car degreasing products! 😫 silicones help to give your hair a slippery smooth feeling, but it’s only a disguise because it’s an oil film coating your hair-but not actually helping it! Some people believe silicones help split ends, but The sad truth is you can never repair a split end 😭 as far as parabens, I used to be 100% paraben free until I learned they’re not bad for you. I kinda feel like maybe since something was paraben free, then paraben are bad even though they just preserve the product. If you have a product with a lot of natural ingredients, I’m sure you don’t want it to spoil! I’d recommend the brand Shea moisture, L’Oréal ever products (ever strong, ever pure, etc. they make my hair the softest!) or cibu repairing shampoo (it has biotin). I’ve been growing my hair for almost 5 years and I was in the same boat as you except my hair felt like hay from at hone bleaching
