It’s your new saloon phobia for me😩😂 it’s so admirable how you’re open to play around with your hair even when you’re not sure and learn from your mistakes.

I big chopped my Loc hair too and it’s not even- but not really concerned about that yet. I’m excited about learning my short, loose natural hair. But you are on the right journey for growth and protection. Your hair is beautiful 💓💓🌸🌸

Even at the twa stage, I love how your edges are in corporation with the growth process. My edges have decided to be her own boss. Any suggestions on products to use?

The thing with edges, is you have to give up tension and excess product on them for 12-14 weeks. No wigs, no gel, no edge control, no braids. Massage and a growth product according to your sensitivity. I use a growth mist or growth gel because I can't use a growth oil or butter. Shampoo them weekly to keep the follicle clear and apply deep conditioner on your edges once a week even if you don't treat your whole head. I have genetically thick edges but when I only wore wigs once or twice a month I saw a big difference on how long and thick they got. My edges touch my eyebrows now which I never realised that they could do. wrap your edges in silk or satin too because sometimes the bonnet elastic band or fabric is too rough on your edges.

Maybe I can try to twist your hair as if you are doing a twist out to trim your ends. I usually do it on dry hair.

I have relaxed my hair since birth, so I’m still a novice on how to take care of my hair. I’m planning on doing a big chop next month, so I’m wondering if you could give me tips on how to condition, wash, and moisturise my hair 🥲😅

Late comment but I believe why the didi cut your hair was because of the extension you added. Because i have TWA as well and the woman that did mine advised against using extensions because of the tension. Idk how she did it, but she held my hair without extension and it was painless

Do you use regular scissors or hair shears? I'm just asking because regular scissors shatter the hair strand and cause more breakage, so I was gonna recommend hair shears if those were regular scissors.
