I found your channel by chance and loved your tour, it was very calm and relaxing so thank you for sharing your home. I also favour the vintage Halloween style and for the season I decorate my home in England in a mixture of our traditional Harvest Festival pieces along with 1920's Halloween. My home is a cottage built in 1501 so these styles fit in perfectly with their surroundings. I look forward to watching more of what you do. God Bless, from England.

Good morning Sherry, thank you so much for visiting! Do love those black cats🥰 the rolling pin shelf…I saw similar ones on Pinterest but trying to find them was another thing. You can find the rolling pin holders but I wanted it to also have shelves I can decorate. I didn’t have any luck on Etsy or eBay😓 so I found a wooden shelf on facebook marketplace for $12. We removed one of the shelves and my husband used his jigsaw to cut slots for the handles of the pins. I painted it and I got exactly what I wanted❤️❤️❤️

Wow I love it all! You are very good at making things with clay! Kind of makes me want to try making some things. I have never decorated much for Halloween but now I’m wanting to try it out lol. Such a great job my friend! ❤

Mikaila, thank you! I just got air dry clay from Amazon or hobby lobby carries it. Amazon also has a clay sculpting kit. It takes 4-10 days to dry depending on what I make. Then I just paint with tempura paint and seal with Mod podge. 😁 they will break and chip so have to be careful with them. But it was a cheaper alternative than buying some I saw made by others😂

For added light in the corner of your shelf area, you could add the battery powered fairy lights. They are great for those kind of jobs. They give that “magical light” feel.

You know, it made sense thinking about it now how my Halloween decor would be dominated by cats🤣😂🥰 I love them and it’s a great time to highlight that!🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ yes I didn’t want more dirty glasses even though we have a dishwasher. Just seemed a bit wasteful to get a new glass with each meal. And I’m not on the Stanley Water jug band😂🤣😅 so this made it more useful and beautiful at the same time🥰

Good morning my sweet friend! Hope you had A great week. Your porch looks so pretty! I do love the stained glass by the doors, gorgeous!❤ The little pumpkins you made are so stinking cute!! So is the 'Jack O Ween'. You're just so crafty & talented! The entryway is very cute! I love the hen on nest, i only have have a med size write one thats pretty old, and an amber one thats the regular size. I want a mini one! I would love to collect one in every color, in whatever size. Baby I've never seen the kitty on the basket either, its precious! I know were thrilled to get it! Oh my goodness! Dusti i looove the new to you couch, its gorgeous!!😮 The Swan heads are stunning! That's the kind I'd love to have.. with a couple chairs to go with it, or from the same era. But I love the print on yours also!🧡 The haunted house is so cool, your daughter is very talented! I think you both are! I love the little wire cloche too. I have one i got at the antique store made with chicken wire, i love it! Oh wow the sewing table shelf is another gorgeous piece! You know I love old things made from wood! The details are beautiful! The the top is super cute too! Absolutely love the little bibles & devotionals in the hurricane vase! So sweet! I have a few devotionals but i'd love to going a really small old bible! My leather back, my Oldest one, is small & chunky but not that small. Love both candle holders on my favorite table, which is decorated pretty Too! The jack o lantern you made sitting in the tiny chair is so sweet!🎃 I love all your prim cats! The hutch is another cute area. The pumpkin house is really cute, i couldn't do it if i tried🫤 Lol I'm not that artistic! Love the mummy! Hopefully I'll find me A table to scale when i get out thrifting! That's a really pretty cloche! I want a Hoosier soooo bad! I have a 1850’s stepback cupboard, I really want a Hoosier & old hutch to go with it. The first green hutch is really pretty & decorated so cute! The tablescape is really pretty! The piece with the acorns & ornaments in it is beautiful, so ornate! Oh Wow.. the pottery cat is really prettt.. you did so good! I have a pretty nice size collection of silver pieces, every piece is very tarnished! I love tarnished, patina'd rusty & chippy pieces.. the more the better gf😁 I love the coffee grinder, love the ceramic top! The ghost with the coffee cup is so cute! Kitchen looks nice! Love the fireplace with all the jack o lanterns!🎃 I have a collection of mantle clocks, i have one like the one you have there in the center. Oh the gorgeous mirror, just love it! Of course I love the oil lamp in the center of the coffee table!😊 I love the pumpkin you made on the glass top table! Dusti.. you truly are so artistic & crafty, so talented!! Love the library! Thank you for the tour, you really have some super cute pieces & have everything decorated really cute! I've really enjoyed seeing all the things you've made! Then when he got a job in Fayetteville we moved to North Carolina. So not where we expected or had planned but we love it❤️ we’d love to visit charlotte ❤️ good thrift stores there?

I usually go to the smaller towns around the area for thrifting/antiquing. I also go to estate sales in the surrounding counties...GREAT finds there.

@@kristinaNC I had never heard of Fayetteville until my husband got the job here😂🤣😅 he served in the navy so he has heard of it. Not many good things 👀 but yes it has made some big improvements! Our thrift stores aren’t that great. Estate sales seems to have the most affordable options. 😁

Hello Rhonda, thank you so much for watching and commenting. I used to use a routine from the 1950’s for cleaning 😅 but it kind of morphed into something a little less strict. Mondays - empty trash, clean cat box, change towels in bathroom and do laundry. Tuesdays - iron. Wednesdays - empty trash and clean cat box. Thursdays - change towels, wash all clothes and all dirty towels. Fridays - water plants, empty trash and clean cat box. I always clean the kitchen after meals as far as putting dirty dishes in dishwasher and hand washing any that can’t be in the dishwasher. We usually keep clutter to a minimum in the main areas. The office and hobby room tend to become more cluttery😅😂🤣 as for more in depth cleaning that is usually done when it’s needed or I’m motivated 😂🤣😂

Hi Melissa, she is a rescue. We found a rescue group and sadly I don’t recall their name here in North Carolina. They went into a shelter and found her the day before she was to be euthanized.🥵 they had her a couple weeks fostering before we found her. She is the sweetest girl❤️
