Thank you! Hmmm. I love looking closely at each tweed, too. After I cut out all the pieces for a jacket, I usually pull apart a scrap so I can see all the different yards and ribbons and thread that they wove together to create each tweed. Tweed is just the most beautiful fabric. 🥰🌸🎨

I know! I wasn't sure whether to mention it. I'll leave the jacket the way it is for a while, but I do want to remake it eventually. The Cloisters museum in NYC is an ancient Italian monastery that got carefully taken apart stone by stone, shipped to America and was entirely rebuilt. It will still be the Barbie jacket once I've remade it, it will just be better because I'm better at making floral jackets now than I was the first time I created it.

just stunning...Does the weight of the beads change the fit at all? Are you able to handwash? LOVE these so much

The weight of the beads does make the jackets fit beautifully. You can stitch a gold chain on the inside of the jacket hem to get a similar effect. There are specialist dry cleaners or you can just take the silk lining out, wash it and sew it back in.
