Say what you want about Liu Kang restarting the timeline, but as a God, the guy's trying. He's doing his best to steer himself away from temptation, to be respected as a demi-god, while treating others as equals. He's veered from falling to darkness like Raiden did and plotting grand schemes and treating mortals like playthings like Kronika did when she had the hourglass. He's witnessed every God's screw ups, and is doing his best to avoid them. He's such a cool character now!

I love Liu Kang. He's the keeper of time. But he just want to lived side by side with his friend too. It's reminds me to MK11 aftermath when Fujin talking with Jax. Maybe the happiness of demi-god is just a simple thing like this. I think MK1 story is so humanized. It's not perfect. but it's good and has so many potential. I hope NRS don't f_ck up the story to something terrible for character just like they did in previous game lol

This chapter was the moment plot went downhill, him revealing the role he had really made the rest of the interactions between him and others really cringey. Would be better If he forgot and Geras would later reveal to Liu Kang that it was all his fault. A shame because it started quite strong but sadly there was little room to go forwad.
