My Harley Sportster Clutch Cable Broke | New Performance Clutch Plate Install [Energy One Clutch]

My clutch cable snapped while riding my Harley Sportster 833. Here's what I did to fix it, along with installing some new Energy One High Performance Clutch Plates. After some research, many people have said that the stock clutch plates on the Harley Sportster are horrible and it's suggested to replace them with performance plates. Links are below for all parts that I bought to fix my clutch plates.
Also thanks to 1 FNGR for sending me out a new clutch lever, which feels amazing and very easy to pull.

I had a throttle cable break under warranty on my 2020 iron 883 after about 10 months. The dealership picked up me and the bike and took care of it. Even got me an Uber to get home. I put a 1finger clutch on my iron almost immediately after getting my bike and have never had any problems. I love the sound of your bike!

Same thing happened to my iron 883 after a month of riding, it was under warranty but a clutch cable is something that shouldn’t be a common problem.

I've been told that it's best to remove the primary bolts in a back and forth style pattern. Top and bottom. To reduce stress on the primary cover. Same for install. But i don't know for sure b

Yup I forgot to mention that. I found a diagram and followed it. Starting from the middle, I started at the top bolt, then bottom bolt, then from the bottom went to the left and all the way around.

I installed the Energy One Clutch and spring Plate kit, now the bike is hard to shift into neutral. What is your adjustment on the spring screw? I did 1/2 turn out as suggested but doesn't work.

Is it 1/2 turn out? I think it's lower, check out the videos on the adjustment. I also had to make a lot of adjustments to my clutch cable, so take it for a ride and re-adjust. What primary oil are you using too? It needs to be good oil. Ride it around for awhile and break it in.

@@kevlarxkoffee Currently have mobile 1 20w50 in primary case. Harley factory setting is 1/4 turn out, Hammer performer 's video call for 1/2 turn, I'm going to try 1/4 turn see how it goes. I did installed 1250 conversion kit, thanks
