Of course since the narrator of the story is Alpharius himself, he is an unreliable source. Still I highly reccomend the novel, one of my favorite Primarchs novels.

the decision on henry’s part on who to play is something I don’t envy. You need to find something that fits Henry and unlike Witcher or other fantasy or sci fi franchises Warhammer doesn’t have a true protagonist. They could go the easy route and make the first project focus on Space Marines and Henry could play a Space Marine Captain, but it limits him in many ways too.

That’s gonna be the hardest part of making a 40k movie. Charles Dance as the Lion was perfect. Especially after hearing a recent audiobook from the Arks of Omen, I can hear what he said in that book in Charles’ voice. Fred Tatasciore as Perturabo was surprisingly accurate. Alucard as Sanguinius is fitting even despite the irony of them both being long blonde-haired vampires lmao. Its somehow how I always envisioned it. Chris Metzen’s King Varian voice is something I never considered for Guilliman but holy damn, it fits! Josh Brolin as Magnus? Huh. Didn’t expect that to work but… it does. Very well. The soft, somber intellectual with a burden, it matches. Master Chief as Rogal doesn’t exactly line up in my mind, though. But to be fair, his TTS voice will always be the best in my mind. I also don’t feel Travis as Ferrus, but I can’t think of who I’d choose instead. Also, I feel Henry Cavill could be another good alternative for the Lion, or even the Emperor… but I can also see him as Horus. At first I didn’t really feel Matt as Lorgar, but the more he talks, the more I can hear it. Liam’s Illidan voice as Corvus, amazing. Could work for Konrad as well if Malcom didn’t already fit so well.
