I had a H/C C6Z and that was by far the most fun car I ever owned. Currently have a C7 Z06 A8 it’s an awesome car but no where near as fun to drive. That’s a bad ass ride you have I have seen your other videos. Big V8, lumpy cam, and 3 pedals………………..eargasm

I have basically the same car. 07 with a slightly smaller cam 2 inch arh with corsa extreme and reworked milled heads. I have a stock intake manifold and stick tb. It put down 555 hp and 522 tq. Great steet manners. I just got a level 5 rpm custom geared transmission and an rxt clutch. I went with z51 gears 1-3 and a zr1 5th. Really wakes the car up. Its like putting a 3.90 in it down in the lower gears and keeping great highway cruising in the upper gears. I also added a max din head unit for a more modern interior. My next move will be sticky tires. I had an 06 z and sold it. I regretted it so much i bought this one a few years ago. Do not sell your car. You will regret it like i did.

Solid numbers! That trans/gearing sounds like a great set up, I'd love to do that but I'm sure it wasn't cheap. I agree with you - I know it would pain me to get rid of it and I haven't been able to find a suitable replacement without spending double or triple what I paid for it.

Amazing and tasteful build! I’m thinking of picking that exact wheel setup for my blade silver C6Z. Also, you can pick up a 2013 steering wheel with red stitching (little hard to get by) but it’ll change the feel and look drastically!

I run G-Sport GESI cats on my HCI C6 Z06. No smell. It's didn't have cats when I bought it and it was AWFUl. Gesi cats are high flow and designed for high horsepower applications so they are designed for our application. I had to ozone my car 3x times to get the smell out of the car after putting the cats on. Anyway. Car will still be hella fast and you will enjoy driving it way way more.

GESI makes a nice product, I’ve used them in the past on other applications. Honestly the power difference is pretty negligible from what I’ve found , I just want to lose the sound/tone 😭 Man that’s tempting though - I always feel like I smell like a dirtball after driving it. I'm really looking forward to it. I would like to refine the engine with the AHP Archangel heads and the 8.9sec. or track set-up. Does anyone have any experience? I also have a second engine lying here, it will get a extrem light and strong 3.875 destroke NA crankshaft which I will have built by Arrow, it will be a kind of GT1 single throttle replica with side airboxes, only without restrictor. for an other Z06 Street Legal GT1 Car for Nordschleife.

Gorgeous car! Absolutely love the C6Z. I’ve seen a few of those blacked out plates on the road. You get bothered at all for it? I’d love one for my truck but not looking for any added attention lol.

@@LTrider500 thanks! I’ve only had it for a month or two and no issues. The car certainly draws a lot of attention so not like I can fly under the radar haha. It’s actually one of my favorite things I’ve done to the car. A few of us that have them checked with a local cop and they said as long as it’s not obstructed, it’s not an issue but I’m sure if they want a reason to break your balls, they will. Just like having 5% tint

I figured it would be similar to tints. Not really legal but most cops turn a blind eye unless they’re looking to get you. I appreciate the response I’m gonna order that plate now.

@@dudeitstech thanks! Is yours cammed/Catless too? It was noticeable after I had everything installed but it could be worth checking. I’ve driven/built plenty of Catless and they always smelled, figured it was amplified with the larger cam

@@alecmarshall215 No cam. Headers/exhaust/intake, catless. I would Read up on gas tank issue on corvette forum. The top nipple cracks. Causes smell. Might be worth a check anyway. (lots of work, gotta drop the tank)

I feel your pain on the car going dead without a Tender. 2 of my cars will go dead after a week without a Tender. I'm pretty good about it now, tired of trying to breathe life back into an AGM battery.

In my humble opinion, the C6 Corvette is the best looking Corvette of any generation. I am excluding the C8 in that comment because the C8 is a completely different animal entirely. Get a widebody if you can like a Grand Sport Z06 or ZR1. And whatever you do make sure you pick up a manual transmission Corvette do not go with one of those slow sloppy shifting automatics. I have no idea why anyone would want an automatic Corvette anyway again with the exception of the C8, which is a dual clutch automatic and once again it’s completely different animal.

Just a tip, when u turn it off, keep ur foot on the clutch and it won't make that noise, if u didn't know 👍 sweet car, makes me want to lower mine. What shocks are you running?

@@luigui707 thanks! It definitely likes to diesel a bit lol Suspension is stock with bottomed out OEM bolts. Very easy to do, there’s a bunch of KZbin videos walking you through it. Takes a drive or two to fully settle. I wouldn’t go much lower, it already scrapes enough. Might upgrade to Bilsteins next year though

@alecmarshall215 right on, since your lowered on stock shocks I think I'll be ok since I have Bilstein b8s which are a bit stiffer than stock I believe. Hopefully my lowering bolts aren't seized up like I've heard in others experiences

@@luigui707 Do you like them? I've been debating coilovers or the Bilsteins. Never was that impressed with the stock suspension, feels kinda vague. I sprayed my bolts with PB Blaster and they didn't give me any issues

Thanks! I found them on one of the Corvette FB groups. They're becoming next to impossible to find so I jumped on them when they popped up. Ebay has some occasionally too, that's where I found the center console lid, e brake/shift boot. Honestly was a bit of a job - they're from a later model (12-13?) so the seat rails/wiring were not the same as my 07. I had a local upholstery shop swap out the base and they dropped right in and are functional. Still definitely way better than the OEM seats but if I did it over again, I'd consider the Carvaggios

What are the specs on that cam? Also, how would you say it drives around town, low RPMs on highway and in traffic?

RPM keeps the specs pretty quiet from what I can tell but 24X/25X on a 114 LSA. Not sure of the lift (probably .6xx) - I didn’t get a cam card. Manners are great for a bigger cam. I can’t say it’s the exact same as stock, you do have to ride the clutch a little in parking lots etc and there’s a little bit of surge at certain cruising speeds but not at all enough to make me want to change it out. A lot of driveability comes from tuning too. Really comes alive over 4K but still gets great mpg at highway speeds and could totally daily if I wanted to
