@ 13:30 When you export your ElvUI profile, there other strings you can export that will allow people to include all the stuff you have disabled. In the bottom left of the export window there's a drop down that allows you to choose them.

Opie saved me so much place on my bars! With all the new spells we got this xpac. I put my mounts, HS, food, Stam Buff, water, mana potions. All in one keybind. It's genious. It took me around 3 days to break my old habits tho. Like not doing my mount keybind but the opie keybind... same for water and mana pots. Better now than during high keys!

Hey Growl, you can import KUI profiles by typing /knp import and pasting the string into the box and hitting enter. It also works with /knp export for exporting a profile.

There will be a update for OmniCD in a few days that will wipe the old database but also add all the missing spells by default. Just in case any of you reading are about to go and add a bunch of spells to it manually since the older version lacks quite a few of them. Cheers!

Man... When I was running my resto druid back in the day, I considered myself high tech because I used Healbot + GRID and mouse location macros! So much added complexity. This was way back during Ulduar days, but it helped me get to be the best geared resto druid on the server because I ended up being a primo raid healer.

I had an issue where the lifebloom would not appear on the vudho frame after casting it on a person, I fixed this by going to /vd opt -> Panels -> HoT Icons -> HoT Order and replacing the spell ID of lifebloom(33763) with "[h] Lifebloom". It was in slot 3 for me, and was the 5th option in the drop down. I am still unsure what causes this, my best guess would be that since I took "The Dark Titan's Lesson" as my legendary, Lifebloom now uses a different spell under a different spell ID that allows two to be cast rather than one. Hope this helps!

Thanks Grawl. While watching your video, and in particular the way you move, target and use abilities. I started to think about what options there are for accomplishing this. I use mouse-over macros and mouse turning (left and right strafe on two buttons), but struggle with pressurised situations to juggle those three components. I avoid mouse clicking as this gives RSI long-term. I am a touch typist, so have no problem navigating a keyboard and have a basic four button mouse. I don't use any movement directions on my keyboard. I would appreciate your advice as I can't recall seeing anyone creating any videos on this, yet it is fundamental. Oh yes, I should say that I went back to my shaman in Shadowlands. The last time I mained Resto was while raiding in Burning Crusade and WOTLK.

I don't use many mouse buttons for spells however I do like having rejuv/riptide/renewingmist/etc on right click. Since you have to cast it while moving so often i dont want to have it near my movement keys or i fumble over it sometimes. If you are comfortable with your keybinds you could also experiment with stuff like hotkeying your party1/tank player so that you can select him and then press spells without having to move your mouse over.

@@yumytv Thanks for your thoughts. I have started trying to reconfigure two mouse buttons to ALT and Shift with my left hand on keyboard. Strafing is on keyboard and potentially also on my mouse. The difficulty I have is that out of the game, the bindings stay. It looks like third party software may be able to get around that. I have also rearranged instant cast spells to the keyboard without a modifier. Some totems use the reticle, so having a drop at cursor macro helps, although I might need to double up with a normal keystroke. Anyway, the crunch time for execution with minimal delay is with simultaneous movement, targeting and casting (especially with a reticle).

VuhDu is apparently not happening, at all. Even removing every other addon except that one, it still yields a UI error when I attempt to import anything. -_- I get the pop up if I want to import, but pressing yes just errors out the UI and it won't ever import

I realize this is a bit older but having a minor Vuhdo annoyance so figure it doesn't hurt to ask. I'm a returning player and new to Vuhdo. I'm having an issue in leveling dungeons where the group ordering is not working as expected. I chose tank > healer > dps, with "me first" turned off, and the tank ended up 4th in the list while I ended up 3rd. In a different run the tank was 2nd and iirc even changed spots once. Is Vuhdo able to use the roles assigned in the LFG tool?

So if you are tracking lets say purgatory for a blood dk and the group you are in has an unholy dk and a different tank will it know what to track and what not to? Even for same spec but you are tracking a particular talent but that person is not talented into it will it know not to show that? Thanks

As a righthanded person seeing the Group-Interface on the left makes me queazy just by looking at it. Otherwise the UI looks...okay. I dont like having the minimap on the top right. Bottom right is way easier to follow. Plus, the Action Bars on the bottom are way too long. I prefer having bars with convenience on mouseover. Plus, do you really need all three Details-Windows up all the time? Why not utilize the hotkey to show and hide them on demand?

Hey Growl, thanks for the great video After 9 years of healing and using VuhDo (and actually writing their setup guide) I just switched to your 5-man setup - it's awesome :) Though there's one question that always bugged me - why you (and some other M+ healers) keep their frames on the left and not in the bottom-ish middle? I get that it's possible to get into a habit of using whatever healing frames position but isn't it a longer way for your mouse to go left rather than keep it in the center more or less? And squinting your eyes left moving them again from the center (where a person normally stare when watching something)? Any particular reason behind that?

Yo. I'm giga late, so sorry about reviving this. Having your UI horizontally centered towards a side as opposed to vertically centered towards the bottom/top is theoretically advantageous. (Human) Eyes, as you probably know, have a wider field of view rather than taller. Keeping everything on the same horizontal level should make it marginally easier to notice things compared to if they were above/below. With that said, statistically, at least in automotive studies, the majority of people prefer a horizontally centered HUD (5-6° below line of sight). Whether that is for stylistic OCPD (The thing that most people mean when they say "OCD") or usability reasons is, to me, unclear. Regardless of what you prefer, as long as everything is close enough together for you to notice important information while not being so far apart to actively strain your eyes it practically doesn't matter. Eye movement is so rapid that there won't be any noticeable difference in performance in game, especially with current screen sizes. As for mouse movement, I don't have any proof, but I am reasonably sure it doesn't matter unless you prefer to move your mouse in a certain way over another. Distance between frames and whatever else you may need to do with your mouse shouldn't really change assuming you keep your screen relatively centered on nameplates and adjust other factors according to your needs. Obligatory "am not an Expert, I've only read studies". Really the only thing I see that is a noticeable and downright disadvantage compared to vertically centered frames is the fact that you are blocking your own vision. The same can be said about having your minimap and other things at the top of your screen. Everything that is only slightly below, or anywhere above character level lowers your field of view and may block more information than if it were towards the bottom of your screen, where normally only the ground is.

Firstly thanks for your content and all of your input you give us :) I have a question regarding Vuhdo: How can i tell vuhdo to show me all the rough new debuffs vom SL dungeons (and raid)? There are a few debuffs (stacking things, or even the non dispellable dots in plaguefall) that i just cant see on vuhdo frames. Do i have to add them one by one to my debuff list? And how do i do this properly? Is there a list anywhere, where i can find all the spell ids? Just tried it via MDT but didnt get all of the tricky stuff... I would like to add all the debuffs without changing my vuhdo layout at all. I used your bfa-setup and changed it in a few ways for me, dont want to change it again after importing your new vuhdo setup :) maybe you (or your friends here :P) may help me with this issue.. It's annoying for me as a healer, to sit down drinking and not seeing that my tank still has ticking stacks of something.. thanks in advance!
