"He can get HURT?" That really made my heart sink, Blitzø never even once considered how Stolas might feel throughout their relationship, he felt like "he’s an immortal prince, he’ll get over it". But it took Stolas to genuinely get physically hurt for Blitzø to realize that he isn’t unbreakable, even if he never saw how much he suffered mentally, he is finally starting to realize that he’s in pain.

The problem with Blitzø is communication. Had h continued texting n explained the situation to Stolas, he would understand especially when he realized that even though he didn't personally save him, he did send his team to rescue him so it wasn't the case of abandoning him entirely. Granted stakes weren't as high when Stella called it off, but Striker would've still done worse had M&M not gotten there in time.

It’s weird to realize how calm and almost cocky Stolas was when he was first kidnapped, but I think it was because he was so confident that Blitzø would save him. (similar to the Loo Loo Land episode). He only got scared when he realized Blitzø wasn’t coming.

His facial expression and tone of voice just shows how surprised he is that a demon so powerful and high up in the hierarchy could get that injured, and possibly suggests that he really does care for Stolas, even if he's terrible at showing it. And the scene right after? I've never gotten so emotional from a text message chain before. I know Blitzø is afraid to show intimacy, but Stolas being content with THAT response is just painful.

I feel like the Loona/Blitzø fight was supposed to demonstrate how Blitzø was so removed and unaware of the severity with the Stolas situation. He's super casual because he thought Stolas was untouchable, so he feels like he can still have his typical shenanigans. But at the end of the episode, he realized his terrible mistake. I think he'll start taking Stolas's feelings/safety more seriously moving forward.

Not gonna lie, I thought that the part with Stella calling off the hit would have Striker going, "Sorry, Ma'am, he's already dead," while Stolas thrashes as he wants to torture and kill Stolas more than he wants money. I do very much enjoy everyone slowly coming to the realization that Stolas can legitimately get mortally wounded, and Stolas realizing that Blitzø can't/won't save him every time. And the sad part is that Blitø actually did initially freak out about having to balance between Stolas and his daughter's health and there's the fact that if Blitzø had gone to save Stolas after Loona's shot, Stolas would've been permanently mutilated by the time he got there.

personally, i don't mind a little backstory being given to striker. it doesn't mean he will be redeemed (not that he needs to be), but it still makes him more interesting. i think there are three types of villains. the redeemable ones, the cartoonishly evil ones, and then the ones who have a tragic backstory but will never change.

Striker definitely seems like he has a tragic backstory, but he also does not seem like he would ever be redeemed. Although i am not sure we will ever get one fully aside from some of the comments he has made so far, but it is clear he has a strong personal grudge against the ones that are in power in Hell. However, despite his grudge, he is also still bound by the system, as Stolas poinetd out "You are working for a royal right now!"... It is an interesting dynamic, since he clearly has some deeply personal reasons for his hatred towards Stolas and other demons in the same position as him, but he also contradicts himself in the fact that he does still take jobs from them.

What sucks is that you get why they both are the way they are. Neither had any real love given to them as kids and they react to it in almost a textbook way. Stolas has had such a narrow and terrible experience with love that he'll do anything to keep it when he believes he's found it. Blitz craves it as well but he's been burned before and fears losing that connection because it hurts so much when he does. So he ends things and puts up walls in order to keep himself safe.

It's important to remember: Stolas has little to no reason to believe Striker can hurt him, or is willing to. As far as we know, he has no idea about the attempt on his life, it's entirely possible he just assumed that Striker wanted to ransom him or something, up until Striker actually drove a knife into his shoulder and it actually hurt.

In the ''Harvest Moon Festival" there's a part at the end where Stella literally screams ,,I want this cheating prick dead! I don't care who you have to go through, make it happend!" into Stolas' face. At the dinnertable. In the presence of their daughter. While they're eating. And then he realises what he had heard and actually looks at Stella with an open mouth. Also correct me if I'm wrong but there's a moment in the begginning of this episode where you can literally see their eyes meet (Stolas' and Stella's). After he dodges the bullet he literally looks at his wife's face. And you can see the ,,You're dead, bitch" look in her eyes. I just checked that, you can see it in 1:04 in the episode on Viv's channel. Stella literally looks over her shoulder and smiles at her husband after he dodged the bullet. And that's that mean, evil smile too. I belive he's painfully aware of what she's trying to do to him. And it makes it so much worse for me

I feel like that’s certainly what they were implying!! That Blitzo always just kind of assumed “oh, he’s just a rich, bratty, horny prince with crazy powers and is invincible.” So he didn’t treat him like an equal since he was so far above him in social status. He never took his feelings like they mattered/like Stolas was a real person, so he just brushed him off repeatedly. You know what my favorite thing about this episode is? It’s that it gives us some very needed clarification of what happened between the season 1 finale and the 2nd episode of season 2. When that episode first aired, I thought (like many others) that the creators were just ignoring what happened in the finale. But thanks to this episode, we know that’s not the case, and that Stolas and Blitz actually talked about it over the phone. And honestly, knowing that the situation wasn’t ignored and to know that it has still stuck with Blitz after all that time in between makes me really happy

Honestly, i hated the fact that they took so long to get into striker being genuinely scary. Like, he’s been established as a ruthless character that we should feel scared of, but from the start of the episode to the moment he actually starts torturing Stolas, he just feels “cool” rather than scary and intimidating, like an “OMG GUYS LOOK STRIKER EVERYONE CHEER” and not “OH SHIT ITS STRIKER, IM SCARED”, especially his entire theme song and shit.

I love Blitz but this episode was one where he deserved to be slapped. If you have something to say you should say it and give someone like that some peace of kind. But he instead decided not to do such a thing and it makes Blitz and Stolas' relationship just that much more complicated. Overall, the episode was phenomenal and I loved the animation along with the M&M, Striker fight scene. Next episode we better get some apologies and visits from Blitz. Until next time! Toodles! One thing i noticed about the text convo is the two different types of text (both of which i kinda relate to). Stolas writes a lot, backtracks a lot, tries to explain a lot and backtracks even more. It's easy to see he doesnt want to force Blitzø into anything and is scared to ruin what little communication they have going on. Blitzø on the other hand has short and very neutral replies. It's almost as if he is trying to avoid an actual conversation. He's clearly not ready to open up, yet does take the time to reply every time. What I also notice is that, even though Blitzø doesnt indicate anything negative, Stolas almost seems like he doesnt _want_ him to come. His texts saying he doesnt have to come can bring across the wrong message. Like, I get from Stolas side, he wants to be considerate and doesnt want to force anything on Blitzø (and that's very sweet). But if I were receiving these texts, I'd think I wasnt actually wanted there, just offered to be there for politeness and this was just a nice way to tell me. It's very much interesting

16:40 to be fair, it is established in the show that demonic royalty can be hurt only using angelic weapons, which are pretty scarce. Edit: also, when Stolas was kidnapped and sounded nonchalant it was due to this exact fact. That is also why in Loo-Loo Land episode he didn't care about attempts on his life. Edit #2: also also, in the ending, where Stolas is on hospital bed, as someone pointed out in the comments to the episode (and I expanded on it a bit), the leaves falling could represent the famous "he loves me, he loves me not". First leaf falling when Stolas gets the message, "he loves me". Second, when Blitzo didn't reply, "he loves me not". And the last two are just my speculations. The third is fallen right on the screen of the phone, it could mean that Stolas still hoping for reply, "he loves me". And the fourth one I don't know, but it may be the hint that Blitzo is so afraid to face the consequences of him not being there, the blame that he put on himself thinking it was because of him Stolas got hurt that he would not visit Stolas, thus ending in "he loves me not".

I feel like a lot of people get so caught up in the shipping they ignore the fact the show has been practically screaming that Blitzo is a terrible boyfriend and his self destructive nature will always leave a trail of broken hearts, Verosika wasn't a psycho ex, she was a warning of what being with Blitzo does to people.

Ok, but like, Verosika should've been the bigger person and just stayed away from Blitzø entirely instead of actively trying to antagonize him in her debut episode. Also, both Blitzø has shown to be a caring person but it's his own self-hatred that's ruining his relationships. So, yes,his destructive nature is what'll lead to heartbreak, but his date with Stolas at Ozzie's probably made him think Stolas didn't care for who he was and made Stolas realize Blitz was using him in the beginning. I really hope the two can manage to make amends and just talk to each other, but it is obvious confrontation is not really Blitz's thing- I know they probably won't start dating right away, but baby steps are important.

I know what it feels like to put so much of your energy into someone you love and they either don't notice it or choose not to. It really hurts. I'm hoping Blitz at least visits Stolas briefly, but I feel like he's not. Blitzo had actually developed something for Stolas over time, but he has constantly tried to deny it because of a chronic habit of torpedoing relationships and not let himself get too close to anyone. Likely due to his abusive and exploitation father, his falling-out with Fizz, and whatever happened with his mom 😢

Odalia, no question. Stella is just neglectful, as far as she's concerned, her daughter barely exists. Odalia was actively controlling her children. She controlled who they hung out with, she controlled how they looked, she controlled who they were going to be when they grew up. Via is not without guidance, but she gets to make her own decisions. Amity, Emira and Edric do not.

Just to clarify Stolas is a high ranking demon so he can't be hurt except by blessed weapons, that's why he was so calm when he was being kidnapped and why Blitz didn't show much concern, you can also see it like this in the Loo Loo land episode( I don't speak English, sorry if it's not well written)

I really liked Striker in this episode, he not only almost killed a Goetia (of course, using the help of blessed weapons), but he also defeated Millie and Moxxie with relative ease. Stolas is only still alive because his wife asked Striker not to kill him, and Millie and Moxxie were only able to win because Striker was confused for a second by what Moxxie said (and also because Millie wasn't decapitated by sheer luck). Striker just became one of my favorite Helluva Boss characters.

Which also makes me wonder exactly how strong Blitzo is!! Really strong honestly. Rewatching their fight in ep 5 compared to Millie and Moxxie’s fight.. damn! And yeah Moxxie was there in ep 5, but like it was all Blitzo. He practically beat the shit out of Striker lol. And I don’t think that means that they gave Striker more power this ep or smth, I think it just means Blitzo is mad strong. Striker actually did say smth abt that too, that they are the superior to most of their kind. Striker is truly a villain to be trifled with, and Blitzo is not to be underestimated either

Re their relationship... I've been on both sides of this before. I've been the Stolas a number of times. I got burned and hurt badly. Repeatedly. It turned me into a Blitzo. Unwilling to open myself to the potential of that pain again. So even when I liked a person, I kept them away emotionally. Couldn't open up to them out of fear of the pain. Blitzo is just as into Stolas as Stolas is into him... but Blitzo is so terrified of whatever hurt him in the past that he can't let himself be honest about that, or open up. And having been there... it's a physical pain as much as it is emotional. And he absolutely knows... just as Blitzo does that night after Ozzie's when he ends up home, on the sofa, alone, sobbing over the failed relationships HE knows he has caused... because he actually desperately wants to be in a real relationship but is just too scared. It's a mind fuck. And it takes someone with ridiculous amounts of patience to get someone out of that place. And it isn't fair to that person at all.

Personally I feel Striker lost his teeth this episode, going from someone who has his own agenda and is taking this job from Stella because it aligned with his goals to just... Stella's goon. All that classism talk falls flat when you are a lackey to one of the worst Goetia of all, even if you are about to kill one. Striker would have been a lot more intimidating and would have saved face if he ignored Stella's order to be called off and decided to kill Stolas anyway only for M&M to save him.

Agreed! It wouldn’t have been a huge change because the outcome (Stolas gets saved) would’ve been the same, but it would have fixed a now glaring issue in Striker’s character. I really don’t like how this episode turned him from a fascinating and intimidating villain with a lot of agency to a goofy henchman type.

But then that would be even more out of character. Stolas pointed it out himself, Striker is still working for a royal despite his speech, and he's also supposed to be "the best hitman in the ring of Wrath" so you'd assume he'd have the common sense required to survive. His hypocrisy is a part of his characterization, and just because his own agenda isn't as obviously hinted at this episode doesn't mean he doesn't have his own motivations, though they are a lot more internal than we were led to believe. So him ignoring Stella's order would've absolutely butchered his character, and transformed it into a narrative tool that is dumbed down only when it's convenient for the plot. TL;DR - There's a lot you can criticise about this episode, but this is not one of those things. To be frank with you, this criticism is just plain dumb.

It's just goes to show how desperate he is to achieve his own desires when he has to take on jobs from those he hates. especially since that's most likely his only way to get angelic weapons/blessed rope so he even has a CHANCE to fight higher-up demons. Elijah relating so much to Stolas as she's been him in every situation is something I can agree with. I'm in a new relationship and it was rocky, but it's being better. What started out as a Stolas/Blitzø relationship is slowly turning into Millie/Moxxie. There will be a day where you will find that person. It hurts and it's hard, but that's why you never give up. And sometimes, all it takes is a really nice friend to realize they've been there all along. Anyways, love the reaction and cried alongside with you. Hit the feels hard.

What really hurts is part of why Blitz is so short in text is probably his inability to spell/write. He seems to tend to draw stuff instead of writing a large amount, like his plan in Spring Broken. They show his texts with Millie too at one point and he's the same way, though seemingly more comfortable bc Millie keeps her answers pretty similar, concise and using shorthand. That and clearly Blitz isn't even sure where he stands with Stolas as it is and becomes more distant with him the more he overthinks their interactions. Mild spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen up to 2x06 before watching this. This also kind of explains why Blitz later assumes Stolas is being fake when he shows concern or interest in him as a person, because when they talk in person or on the phone and he expresses when things make him uncomfortable or he's not available, it usually goes completely ignored in favor of what Stolas himself wants, while in text Stolas is more hesitant and considerate since his thirstiness can't get the better of him as easily.

The reason why Blitz was surprised about Stolas being able to get hurt, is because Royalty can get hurt but they won't be very effected by it i think. Also Striker used a blade thats special for royalty, especially because Stolas is also pretty powerful.
