When my husband left ( right before Christmas many years ago), my dad asked what I was going to do to get him back.. I answered “nothing absolutely nothing.” The many things that were going on behind closed doors started to come out and Dad never asked again. That was the start of my long healing journey.

I never voiced my opinions about Paul. Kept it all inside. I'm not about making comments that could potentially make someone cry. I will say now, I didn't have a fondness for Paul. I just remained happy for you.

My heart was broken 15 yrs ago. Felt more like a big chunk of it was ripped from me. My 25 yr old son was killed in Iraq, his 4th tour there. I cried an ocean of tears for 2yrs straight, everyday. I thought I would die. Loosing Adam I lost a part of myself, the pain and agony is still there, but the Lord has me here for a reason. I am also a widow. A man is the last thing on my mind.

You talked about people with trauma. Understanding that you can't be what someone else needs you to be and going your separate ways is good. But it is vital to realize the difference between trauma and toxicity. The first can be met with empathy, the second can only get worse.

You don't need to pray. Have faith that your heavenly father knows what's best for you. Could you imagine having your children tell YOU THE PARENT what is best for them? It's insulting. Instead of praying (as if God doesn't know what to do), why don't you thank God for everything he's done.

Boy oh Boy did you hit that on the button about your family doesn't like the newer version, especially my children but my grown grandchildren and great grands love me and show it! Just starting my van life because it was postponed in 2021 from someone burning down my home(had a mental issue) on purpose. thank the Lord I wasn't home. It sucked the life out of me. I'm not a fearful person but I experienced fear like no other, then in 2023 I broke my hip and femur, go figure LOL. BUT...I have a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and I'm doing it! Thank God I have a grandson just like your son. May see you Lee on the road, you have helped me ever since the first time I saw your video, before I even lost my home!

Hi Lee, sending healing thoughts your way. I met someone three years ago. I have worked hard on myself within the relationship to maintain my own sense of self. I don’t want to repeat past patterns of losing myself in the relationship. I don’t know if I am in love but I feel I have learned a lot about myself in a more healthy relationship than my past ones. I respect myself and him as well. I do choose this. I take it one day at a time.

Relationships are hard! If you are not on the same page in the relationship it’s just not going to work. I’ve been in bad relationships and very good ones. Low self esteem played a high part in the bad relationships. You are so right you have to cut all ties. That was the hardest part. I’m in a great relationship now. Not always perfect what is, but we are on the same page and we have good communication with each other.

Dear Lee..I am sorry to see you in pain. Have followed you for years and you are inspiring. It seemed Paul was often disappearing and his former spouse intruding in your relationship were red flags. Doesn't make him a bad person..but not maybe moving in the same direction. Even if they move on to another person after the breakup they will probably repeat the same patterns if they don't figure it out. Someday you will figure you are probably better off without the daily angst. I have found our culture puts tooooo much pressure on people to be coupled up without knowing how to have respect for someone else. I am grateful for your channel..we are your people!

I have not dated in 6 years and I am 60, but even when I was dating I was not interested in a commitment, because I was a single mom, working, and finishing a degree in my 40s. So I did date at that time but I really had nothing to bring to the relationship because I had other priorities. Now I am working with a house to care for and of course 3 grand babies I like to babysit so again I have very little time, lol. I think its all about what I want right now. It would have to be a very special guy for me to spend my free time with. But yeah there is something to say about being single, not wrong with it at all. Its a comfy situation for some of us.

Lee, I loved your entire video and helpful personal messages. You're so honest and spiritual. There's no relationship with a man that's worth your personal integrity and peace. Any relationship should enhance and strengthen your life. When that isn't happening it's time to say farewell. Try to see it as a lesson learned, even if it was learned the hard way.

A lot of useful knowledge you giving out:-) thank you. The last relationship I had was almost 5 years ago. It was horrible, covert narcissist and I am just so happy to be alive and free:-) the one who treated me the best passed away, we we’re together for 9 years engaged to marry. I had to call it off because he was a heavy drinker and was very scary when he drank. I left he quit drinking and we began taking and his health got so bad and he passed away. He was a good man when he was not drunk. I’m glad he quit drinking but his health was already so bad from the years of drinking. He treated me with respect and like a lady. Took really good care of me and I him. Life is good for me. Until God sends me to the man he has for me or even if he doesn’t I am good:-)

Hello Lee This is a sensitive subject and it's never easy recovering from a break up, i just hope you put it in prayer and God will help you get through it. I don't know if you remember that I've always said you both we're not a match. I knew it from your earlier videos with him. He was very critical of you and snappy, I wondered, Lee is such a beautiful soul and influencer, why would she allow this old man to put her down this way. I don't think you noticed it because you spent twenty five years alone and dating was not in your agenda, or probably you we're trying so hard to make it work. He struck me to be a alcoholic or recovering alcoholic also known as a dry drunk. There is a behavioral attachment that comes with that, insulting, rudeness, moodiness, double personality, selfish, self-centered, not open to love or commitment, set in their own ways and not caring for anyones feeling but their own. You deserve much better, you have a younger soul then most women your age, that is due to you years of singleness, single women tend to want to look ageless, great health, body, mind, look, hair, nails, modern clothing, going with the present time. Single women are also very aware of their soroundings, current events, new, situation in the media, we make great surviving mothers, listeners, we have compassion, our feelings are easily sensitive and we hurt when we hurt especially for what we've been through. Pray for the perfect partner, we need to STOP choosing the wrong partner, and let God choose that partner for us. Stay connected to God at all times adding him into the center of your life..Feel better, stay safe, enjoy your journey, a spiritual sister in Minnesota 🌏🙏📖💙🌿🕊️🚐 🌞🍒🍐🍉💐🍑🍏🍓

I recognise your emphasis on total commitment, unfortunately I have never found a husband that could offer that to me, plenty of false promises though. , perhaps I believed in being someone’s Cinderella? But I never found my Prince who I was prepared to truly love and share my life with, because in my book both parties need to partake, not one giving their soul whilst the other is happy to take that soul, but give very little . I respect that individuals can be quite different, but if they sing from the same hymn sheet, they’ve cracked it!!! However some of us accept the card’s we’re dealt to be capable happy solo singers ❤️

I’m 59 and never married but believe once you get married you have a need to be in relationships, or have hope of a relationship, vs what I’ve done most of my life, save 1, 3 yr relationship in my 20s. I found my own contentment and happiness through my choices without compromising what I want. I love my own company and small dogs. I work grocery retail and hate being around other people on my free time. If you don’t associate with many people and are extroverted you’ll get lonely. I’m the opposite I love being alone and am an introvert. To state everyone wants the same thing would be an incorrect statement. Having some human around all the time would drive me crazy.
