As always, the master of the music of love. He never fails to sing perfectly about every possible way of feeling/experiencing love, be it platonic, passionate, spiritual, or finding someone whom embodies everything you hold in esteem and therefore cannot help but love, or simply caring so much for something or someone that your entire being is involved in the emotion. And, at the risk of sounding sexist myself (!) he does this while being a Man; seemingly crossing the gender barrier of emotion to a world that usually only Women inhabit and revel in, and men tend to scoff at. And, he does this without losing a shred of his own masculinity, imho. Songs that would make many other male singers appear to be self-emasculating, he performs with ease and emotional understanding. He does all of this with a perfect vocal range of Baritone to Tenor, and then seemingly performs the impossible with that voice by changing from one range to the next almost within the same note! I know of no other singer that can do all of this, and I know that no other singer has caused me to react/respond to his music in quite the same way. It is rare for me to weep or cry and I can tell you that I have over several of his songs, (For Always, You're Still You, You're The Only Place) and I am sure it is due to the composition and arrangement as much as his talents! Bless David Foster for having the insight and understanding to know when he had discovered such a treasure, and in a young man still a teenager! 💓
