Just beautiful, Martin. I so admire the sensitivity and fluidity with which you play, and especially how you always look completely relaxed and at ease. Personally I suffer from horrible "red light" fever and become a bundle of nerves and fumbling fingers as soon as the record light comes on. Thanks so much for sharing this one.
@tallstrom10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Don! Well, I do a lot of takes before I can get through a piece like this. But the main key is to practice it over and over and over and... I used to find that kind of repetition utterly boring, but it really pays off in the self-confidence department :) And the more secure you feel, the more fun it is to play. And with that comes more relaxation and thus a better foundation for fluidity etc. ok, I´m ramblin´...
@kimlindblom696410 жыл бұрын
Martin Tallstrom thanks for the feedback! Im finding this myself. Im learning your version of "forever young" and while it gets kind of repetetive to only play one song over and over, it also gets more fun while getting better at it. More feeling can be put in without focusing on the technical. Do you practise many songs like this at the same time or do you focus on one song at a time?
@tallstrom10 жыл бұрын
That´s nice to hear Kim! You´re absolutely right. Restless as I am, I have a lot of stuff and songs going on at the same time. But, perhaps I need that. And simply playing a lot of anything will help any song you´re working on. Because your hands are sort of always warmed up.
@DonMitchell5010 жыл бұрын
Yes, impatience is one of my fiercest enemies. I always want to rush the process and end up settling for included mistakes in my recordings. Thanks for the response. Also thanks for your reviews of the Miniflex. I now use one for my live performances and am much happier with it over the undersaddle transducer I played for so many years. My decision to buy was largely based on your video reviews of it.

Hi and thank you! I actually tried a new gadget here, a Roland R-26, a portable recorder. It has what I was looking for, XLR inputs with 48V phantom power. So I just bring my Rode NT2-A condenser mic to where I want to sit. Then I send the audio to my computer via USB. Add effects, synth etc, and sync the finished audio track to video.
