The problem is actually the ability to THROW a full person that distance. He doesn't have super arms. A kick may have worked but im not sure how kicking him hard enough to send him flying would have effected the body of young Todoroki. He took Deku's hits and flew so maybe he would be ok but its still a pretty rough move.

Like imagine One Piece as a seasonal anime: It would be very hard to make it work because each arc is incredibly vast and long, it's very much a continuing story, closer to "The young and the restless" than it is to an actual series (but waaaay better quality of course xD) in format. Boku no Hero does not have the same scope or feel like an epic (and I mean epic in the original sense), but it is closer to most modern western media, a loooot closer.

A campfire or a flashlight would've done the same thing.

the funny thing is, if the match ups had been switched, tokoyami and Ida could have won. Bakugo wouldn't have been able to plug up Ida's exhaust like todoroki could. and no one, not even bakugo would be able to dodge his recipro for 10 seconds. and tokoyami might have been able to knock out todoroki before he uses his fire. remember, at this time todoroki is still unsure of himself and wouldn't use his fire again. which would let dark shadow attack at his strongest. it's funny, they both got unlucky and got paired up against the only people who could exploit their weakness.

Recovery Girl isn't some Medic NPC in a fantasy RPG, where regardless of anyone's state they'll be brought back to normal with no catches or trade offs. she's mentioned that Midoriya's injuries being healed always required his energy & stamina as payment, & if the injuries are too serious, he could end up dying. her advice to him is basically saying "you should learn how to not be a one trick pony all the time & improve your abilities so you don't end up breaking yourself blind with ambition." expecting that no matter how fucked up his body gets, he'll always have someone to fix him is careless.

I 100% see Recovery Girl's point. Ofc if the injuries are major, she'll heal them, but she isn't going to heal broken arms or fingers anymore. Sooner rather than later, he needs to learn how to use his quirk without breaking anything. Otherwise, after just one year of training, he won't be able to walk with how disfigured his body would be. Very doubtful. Even in the middle of the day with the sun at its peak and dark shadow weak from use throughout the day Bakugo still didn't destroy it with all his explosions, Tokoyami gave up. At night Dark Shadow one shot a villain that Bakugo and Todoroki working together couldn't even touch.

I do love how this series keeps someone's trauma and doubts still going. and since you guys are probably way ahead now...Stain kinda reminds me of Zaheer. They both have their code of honour and avoid hurting random civilians, and they go after people in power. They have their ideals that in on themselves aren't really bad. Zaheer wanted freedom for common people and do away with oppression. Stain wants a society where good and noble people become heroes, and it's not a vanity fair and rat race. They both do make a good point, about flaws and brokenness of the system but they're taking it all to the extreme and judge people wrong. Like Zaheer went after Korra and her dad and also other good leaders such as Zuko's daughter. And Stain went after Tensei. Now, I get why he thought Tensei was a fake...he comes from long line of heroes and to an outsider, it might look like the guy is just taking over the family business to keep it going but it's not true. Tensei might feel pressure, but he's a good guy and he genuinely cares about people.

I got a question for you guys, (definitely not a criticism) why do you have your vocal volume up so loud and the actual video volume down to an almost nonexistent low? It forces the viewer to turn up their volume so high to hear the dialogue that any time you guys yell or scream (which you're gonna do because it's a reaction of course) it pierces our ears like hot daggers. Wouldn't it be better to equal out the volumes a little more to where we can hear the dialogue and you guys both perfectly without cranking our volume or have you already addressed this at some point and I'm missing something?

I'm glad someone else mentioned this, because it's been bothering me as well. From my guess I would assume they do it to lessen the chance of a copyright strike on the video. So, an easy fix to this problem would be while editing the video, to lower the volume of screaming everytime it happens.

My real question is. How did todoroki walk off a kick like iidas? He doesn't have any physical boosting quirk, like kirishima but he still gets up like nothing happened. It was a super charged kick to the head. That was a perfect example of plot armor. Ps. I understand that it's common in mha. But this is one of the cases I notice a lot. Your misunderstanding that actually. Anime Spoilers below JUST IN CASE. You never know. Your referring to something which was not a fight. He wanted to pull dark shadow back in and Bakugo just created enough light to allow him to overpower dark shadow again. As seen here even at his weakest Dark Shadow can fight. Bakugo Might be able to beat him but there is no definite evidence he can. If Dark Shadow and Tokoyami were intent on a fight in the darkness Bakugo would not be able to create enough light to simply overpower dark shadow like he did here. He would have an advantage compared to others sure, but its not as effective as many have assumed. A campfire would have done as much.

We dont know what he can do alone vs Dark Shadow at night (I still think that if Bakugo keeps the distance and makes giant explosions or attacks Tokoyami, DS couldnt stand it)
