Okay, so let me see if I've got this straight. All For One is Nana's dad. Nana had twins, Hands and Yomama, with Yuri. Before that, Yuri took Vasily/Overhaul off the streets and, together with Nana, raised him as their adopted son, before dying/going into a coma/vanishing from the story. When Nana committed die, Vasily stole(?) Yuri's identity and raised Yomama and Hands along with his government-assigned wife and her parents. Hands runs away after you-know-what happens and is adopted by his grandfather, All For One. Sometime after that, Yomama is sent to the USA by Vasily/Yuri so she wouldn't be taken by the Russian government. Later, Vasily also moves to the USA and takes over Yuri's hero drug empire that he had there. Then he is defeated and killed by Hands. Conclusion: what in the soap opera drama hell is this family tree

I’m going to be corny for a sec and do a whole nana/Shigaraki analysis, I did this on the patron but just for the people who haven’t seen it, imma type it here. First when she said tenko and Momo are her heart and soul. I’m thinking momo is her heart since she has her physical appearance but I don’t think she has her kindness nor does she really want to achieve the same goals as she did. She’s more like Yuri. While AFN/Tenko is her soul, he realizes just like she did, hero society isn’t worth saving as well as he had heart heart when he was a child. That’s why Overhaul was so cold towards him because he knew he’d love him too much if he actually tried to “pretend” he loved him. He openly “loved” Momo because I feel like he didn’t see the kind heart of Nana nor a true hero. In a way, when overhaul dies, he felt free and even though he was screaming he was probably happiest to finally see nana again. Nana just like AFO has two successors, AFN and Deku while AFO had bakugo and Tenya. You could say AFN is Nana’s darkest/true impulses while Deku is Nana at her best/public image. It’ll be a battle for what truly will thrive, the best or worst of society. I also love how AFN is a commentary on how not just media but also corporations are always hiding behind something and nothing is really truly someone sharing themselves. Art should be about what’s in your soul, but over time that’s been muddled. Hell you could say shigaraki is talking about the abridged itself, it was meant to be genuine while other abridged series are just jokes. Not to be rude towards other pieces of art, of course

Ok, here goes… Hope I get this right All For One is Nana’s dad, Nana is Tomura and Momo’s mom, Nana married Yuri, Nana and Yuri adopted Vasily (Overhaul), after Nana died, Vasily raised Tomura and Momo with a government assigned woman and her parents while Yuri went off on his own after Nana’s death. After Tomura’s quirk awakens and his family is killed, he gets adopted by his grandfather AFO, Vasily then puts Yuri on life support, steals his identity, and becomes Overhaul and reassembles Momo after she got disintegrated by Tomura where she now works as a spy at U.A for him Hopefully I got all that correct

I truly believe BONES intentionally sacrificed this arc. They’ve proven multiple times that they CAN do MHA well even during and after season 5. There were just too many less than ideal decisions during season 5 for it to seem like a lack of capability amongst the staff. The movie might not exactly have been the reason, but more of an excuse to do it as well. Also, it isn’t like BONES doesn’t care about the villains because nearly everything else involving the league before and after MVA has been handled very well overall.

Abridged series are usually just fine or funny or an awesome adaptation to me. But your MHA abridged really peaked my interest in a weird way. Before it was just comedy up until the end of the season 2 content. But after MHA abridged was "canceled" there was this shift in the dialogue and the themes the characters talked about. It's like they're always talking about something that doesn't quite fit the context or it feels like I'm missing a piece of information. I remember getting really excited on where your take on All for One was going. And all the backstory changes to Momo and the Russian family connection to the villains is intriguing. I'm still interested in where this abridged series is going to go. Maybe it's just because I haven't rewatched the entire series recently, but I feel like I'm not understanding the story the abridged is telling.

The only reason it was butchered was because Japan doesn't hold villains in the highest regards as the west does. As fans while we are meant to hate villains as a whole we love the performances given by villains. An episode of Phineas and Ferb where they made a superhero cartoon about themselves is a good example of the love and hate between heroes and villains.

They loved the class 1a vs 1b arc, which I hated in manga (the anime version is ok; pacing was better). The Japanese opinion is the end all be all for Shueisha and studios. Look at CSM, there was a petition against the VAs and the DVD sales flopped in Japan. I still love the villains and I am enjoying the final arc and season 6.
