Ok so fun fact: Back in either the 1500s or 1600s, one of the Popes decided to mess around with the roster of sins Originally it actually was the 8 deadly sins Wrath, greed, sloth, lust, gluttony, pride, vanity, and melancholy No envy The pope said vanity and melancholy were just subsets of pride and sloth, removing those two, and later adding envy.

*Writing the script for the very first episode:* "...We're gonna have the finale for Seven Deadly Sins in Seven Deadly Years." *nods to themselves, continues writing* We have no way of knowing if that is true, but we also have no way of not knowing if that is true. Either way, this finale felt like a reward for sticking with the series for so long. Whether it was because we got to hear Elizabeth with the voice of an angel with a beautiful voice, or if it was Hendrickson learning the hard way that you can fight it for as long as you can, but everyone becomes an abridged parody of themselves at some point, or being cursed with the knowledge that Elizabeth's mother is alive and running a muck out there.

@@adam-dn3hi well there are a lot of reasons but let me sun up the main ones. Also these are just my personal reasons. 1. I didn’t like how they Introduced power levels because power levels are honestly pointless. 2. The plot became way to predictable. 3. I didn’t like how they made basically made meliodas an unkillable god with his curse. 4. Finding out about the whole reincarnation thing for Elizabeth making their relationship REALLY uncomfortable to me. 5. Hell a majority of the main relationships are gross to me with king meeting Diane when she was basically a child, Ban loving Elaine despite her looking like a child and ALMOST EVERYTHING WITH MELIODAS AND ELIZABETH! So yeah it just fell of for me and became unenjoyable overtime.

Bro the only thing I would change with Escanor would be that him and Merlin are banging any chance they have, and it's a not-quite-a secret in the Schmucks. Yeah, they've both been reeeeallly busy these past 10 years... And his night-time form is only playing the timid persona so enemies don't consider him enough of a threat to kill him.

What a great ending to this project! I remember starting watching this show when I was in 8th grade and started watching anime. 21 now, and man I’m glad I got to see the finale! I’m forever grateful that you guys stuck it out to finish this series even in spite of all the battles with copyright. That’s how you can tell a lot of love was put into this! 🤩 Even if the later seasons are never adapted/completed, season 1 was definitely worth the long haul.
