I generally really don't care for superhero stuff, and this show is filled with superhero tropes from the powers to some of the messages it has. With that said, the show does a great job of feeling unique and despite having so many stereotypical characters, it does a great job of making you care for almost every member of 1-A. From top to bottom, this show is fantastic in my eyes. Definitely one of the best shows I watched in 2022. I can't wait for the Vigilante Arc to be animated!

I was watching this with my twin sister one night when our Mom came into the living room to have a before bed snack. She knew we were in the middle of watching this so she just watched it with us. And to the utter shock and excitement of my twin and me she complained how it was too late at night to Air this because she wanted to watch it with us. Violet Rose i didnt hear about this anime until two weeks ago... Watched the first few minutes of the first episode with baby Deku and i thought ugh, not my style (or so i thought), watched the newly released (at that time) episode of Tokyo Ghoul. When i finished that i was struggling to find something else to watch, and it was just bugging me that i didnt give this a chance, so i dove in with a resigned "fuck it". And by god this franchise grabbed me with a vengeance, i couldnt tear my self away and caught up to the current point within two days. This may be the high of just catching up to the manga but this story has rocketed to my second favorite! I absolutely love the diversity of powers and personalities, the growth of everyone and the story overall. Its just so fucking fantastic And now that ive caught up to both the anime and manga im despairing because i cant wait!
