Filler characters be like that. Its rare a studio in its short production time of episodes is able to make thought-out one off characters, especially if they don't have writers with experience doing many original anime to build up their chops.

Yeah, the anime-only stuff is cool because it gives side characters some much needed spotlight, however it doesn't make much sense. For example, the ninja class going after Todoroki. What were they hoping to achieve? To pass the exam you need to take out two people, those guys ganged up 15 vs 1 on Shoto. It's like they didn't even care about passing the exam lol. Same goes for the girls in white, they all ganged up against just 4 people, even if they won most of them wouldn't have passed the exam anyways

It increases her logical and problem solving IQ, but she's completely lacking in emotional IQ. It just makes no sense to her to go back for friends.
