Wdym plot armour or not? This is undeniably plot armour and i love mha but im not gonna blindly defend it. Its extremely flawed. I read the manga and was thinking "finally someone important died to make this battle feel intense" and then hori just ruins everything. He has no balls to kill off important characters and ultimately that's the problem with this whole final arc. Plot armour after plot armour, plot convince after plot convenience. Trying to give spotlight to too many irrelevant side characters. Too long of a battle and everyone survived and not to mention how underwhelming was the last fight with shigaraki.

MHA is much like Fairy Tail in the sense that most of the complaints stem from people viewing the series as what they want it to be rather than what it is. It's not to say these series have no flaws whatsoever but when you sit down and think about it, you start to ask yourself why you were expecting different than what it's been showing you this entire time. I mean truthfully you should have understood what kind of series this was after Izuku maintained use of his arms despite breaking his arms against Shigaraki the first time after he had been warned way back even before the Overhaul arc that if he kept at it he'd lose the use of his arms. I'm not trying to start a fight just saying, this is the series y'all signed up to follow, this has been the series the entire time ever since literal children fought off adults with intent to kill on their 3rd day of school. Also the idea that people thought they would kill him off after fake out deathing him the last time and right after his quirk evolved again was always wild to me. I'm not trying to down anyone but I never believed he was going to die from the start.

This is such a beautiful scene. My only regret is that the internet spoiled this part when it released in the manga to every corner of the globe. There was no dodging it whether you were a fan of this anime or not. About as bad as the Jujutsu Kaisen leaks have been (particularly about one character which I won’t name but we all know). Because of those who leaked the pages, the impact won’t hit as hard to some people compared to going in blind. That said, Bones did a phenomenal job to elevate this scene to the max to make up for it.

Ok so heres the spoiler to anyone who wants it: Bakugo is barely clinging on to life, his heart exploded when his quirk awakened and while it gave him great strength for a time his body couldnt take it. Edgeshot enters his veins and manually stitches his body back together from the inside to keep him alive at the cost of his own life. This is not the last we see of bakugo in this fight so...spoiler 2: Bakugo is the one who takes down afo.

What’s amazing is that he didn’t get more firepower or bigger explosions, his quirk evolved to make him faster, and keeping up was his last thought before death. Bakugo proves you don’t need OFA or AFO to reach that kinda power if you accept the gifts you’re given and grow them as far as you can

bakugou was never my favorite mostly cause i thought he was overrated and alot MHA fans ruined him for me. But he has been a good character. He had lots of development and became better he fought until the end. This scene makes me really sad because of how soft he was when talking sbout wanting an autograph from All Might as he’s about to die ( 0:52 ) How determined he was to win the fight. How he wanted to become a number one hero but will never happen now.. This caught me by surprise because i always tell myself “its ok the main characters wont die!! They got plot armor!! The show needs them!!” but they got me good this time.. I find it very convient ( *spoilers for demon slayer* ) how bakgou and Genya share the same voice actor and they both die🙂…i was sobbing over Genya and then found out bakugou dies too..and the fact that Genya death is super sad too..(i’m unwell)

You don’t necessarily have to kill a character for the stakes to be high. In the manga Bakugo survives, sure, but he, along with several other Class-A students, is left with scars that will limit his hero career for the rest of his life. Endeavor lost an arm. The rest of the Todoroki family has burns all over them. Hawks is quirkless. Deku is nearly quirkless (again). All Might was on the brink of death, and is probably gonna be All Crippled for the rest of his life. I’d say those were pretty dire consequences of this war arc. Instead of just dying and going to Heaven, the heroes have to live, and they have to live with marks that will never go away. There are some fates more consequential than death
