thank you so mostly understanding aoyama's situation and not trashing him. i cant tell you how many people can't understand the basic logic behind his situation and hate his guts for what he did. he was basically a hostage and had a gun to his and his parents heads.

Aoyama's parents didn't choose the quirk. AFO just gave him a random quirk to satisfy the fact that he's no longer quirkless. When you're in a desperate situation like the parents and dealing with someone like AFO, you are in no position to be picky.

It's realistic that half of the class got so afraid of Aoyama and half of them is in-denial and still trusts Aoyama that he's only being tricked. This shown that despite being friends for so long, they wouldn't ignore that he did betrayed them and that the fear is valid. Of course Deku is the one who sees best in people, but not everyone would immediately think the same. They would show prejudice against Aoyama. Especially Mina lol. Mina would think He would hold grudge against her for melting his cape in S1 and "humiliating" him in Sports Fest in S2. She would be the most afraid of him now. Also, it's so heartwarming that Deku give the "You can still be a hero" line. For one, he was the one recieving the words from All Might before. And second, Ironically saying that to a former quirkless turned villain's puppet that he would've became if Deku's mom goes for the same solution as Aoyama's parents did.

We question why out of all quirks AFO gave him naval laser, but the bigger question is why did AFO even have that quirk. Did he see it and go like “damn that will be useful”, no way in hell he did that

Coulda been the quirk of someone who wanted him to take it away lmao but that’s the best reason I got 🤷‍♂️, but It’s way funnier to imagine afo seeing it and going damn that quirk goes hard 😂😂😂😂

You raise a great point about the teachers/police's reactions to the Aoyama family vs the students. The adults are looking at things from a practical point of view, but also a very standardized/routine point of view. They say well, this is what happened so this is the consequence. Which is valid to an extent, but 1A's response to it reminds me of something that was said way back in season 2: "common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age 18." These kids are thinking outside the box and finding solutions to problems that those older than them haven't because they haven't "fallen in line" with the status quo yet. They see their friend who has been used and abused and is clearly hurting and said well, something has to be done about this. Aoyama's actions had consequences yes, but he also has needs that have not been met. They're able to find a solution that works for everyone, both as atonement for his previous actions and an act of grace that recognizes his humanity and victimization. I'm proud of these kids.

Also it might've been so hard for Aoyama. He was so desperate to get out of the situation to the point that he gave Deku an SOS that brought them closer together. (Even though it was so vague so we can't blame Deku for missing it). It's a naive move but still sad. Maybe Aoyama thinks AFO wouldn't kill his parents if heroes find out themselves about his betrayal instead of straight up confessing. That's why he's giving clues. Like when he ask his classmates to ask where he's at in USJ incident and he said it's a secret (which is already suspicious if you have an idea of a mole).

Tbh i don't know if the flashback made it clear or not (it was kinda implied but i'm really not sure), but in the manga his parents say "there was a dubious rumor about a guy who could give people quirks"....now I understand if some people see his parents as villains, but this depends IF THEY KNEW WHO HE WAS at the time. Imagine: you make a deal with a dude, that it looks like a good deal, but months or years later (cause he gave Aoyama his quirk when he was a child) you discover the dude was a freaking mob-boss that could get you killed any way he wanted if you didn't do what he order you.....if THEY KNEW WHO HE WAS, that's on them, but if they didn't, it's kinda hard to say they're "villains". It's like "you disobey me, you die", like.....it's really hard to say "you guys should've done something". That's how i see it at least.

To add onto what you said. The society in which they currently live is real quick to label people as either heroes or villains no matter the circumstances. For example, Gentle Criminal. All he did was attempt to help someone while everyone else stood by watching, and the moment it went wrong society turned its back on him. Then you have the prejudice against people with mutation quirks who are quickly judged if they don't look human or harmless enough. It's not just regular civilians who have these prejudices either. Even their peers who are literally the next generation of heroes feed into that black and white mentality. Especially, when they labled Shinso as a potential villain due to his quirk even though he's literally attending the same hero school as them. As the audience it's been shown to us throughout the series how unfair their society can truly be. We've even seen how people quickly flip on heroes and each other throughout each season. Honestly, we're now seeing everything come full circle. In the end, things will need to change or else history will just repeat itself once the current crisis is averted.

Both times Aoyama gave info to AFO, was proceeded by him purposefully trying to avoid ending up in that situation to give him info.

6:50 If you think about Navel Laser, we can assume that All For One had to have tried using that quirk and must've got diarrhea-- it may have just been one of his throwaway quirks to give to Aoyama-- I mean really, why would AFO give away a cool quirk that he could've used himself? He takes, keeps, and removes to give away quirks on necessity~ In theory, Navel Laser might've been a powerful quirk~ but it just doesn't bode well for the user~ Not the best to have a quirk limitation that makes you sht yourself XD

Aoyama is the UA traitor! I’m so happy that I don’t need to hide this anymore. I was so stunned by how well they set up this twist from the beginning and how it makes you look back at every scene he’s in

The Traitor has Been Revealed !!! Along with Invisible Girl / Toru Hagakure’s appearance which in a spin-off manga called My Heroine Academia she described her own face as a combination of Yang Guifei & Francis Xavier

Provided AFO had those quirks to give~ but even then, why would he give those kinds of quirks away? AFO doesn't keep the quirks he gives away~ The funny part is that AFO had Navel Laser to begin with and prolly shat himself testing it out XD
