Hooray! Also, I'd like a recurring "Louis's Solo Selections" spot 😁

It’s so great that you are both very fun forward, omni-gamers. A lot of BG content creators have pretty narrow tastes and it’s pretty obvious whether they will view a game favorably or not. (And, oh hey, good to see Louis!)

Thanks for the shout out for The SPILL. We just heard it is up for Game of the Year in the Origins Awards. Woo!

Great list. I Kickstarted Damask, but haven’t gotten it to the table yet. Now I am inspired! Also looking forward to receiving Powerline!

My gf and I just saw this tonight. Great selection. We actually backed Damask ourselves after watching your prototype demo. It seemed really interesting. We really enjoy it now that we have it. Another game that gives us similar feels, despite different mechanics, is Ettana. It's also definitely a hidden gem for us.

Nice video. However, if you're interested in promoting these games, it would be really helpful to edit in some footage of the game being played or at least some still shots of it set up on the table.😊

What a great list! I haven’t heard of any of these! Very interested in finding Inside Job. Please do more like this.

I can't believe you mentioned Catherine, Cities of the Tsarina. I love that game! Can't seem to win it, but still love the gameplay.

I'm only at the point where you mentioned two games ... but both sound so good! I queued up the Damask review you mentioned... and now The Spill tower with cubes dropped in sounds like the game THE LOOP. Now ... back to your video :)

What a great topic you picked to cover. I thought Damask and Powerline looked very interesting not sure if I had heard of them before. I though Luis's thoughts on the game to be very helpful. Loved your logo T-shirt. Didn't notice it until i saw Luis since your long hair hides the logo. Thanks again for un covering the hidden gems.

As a retailer, I can tell you that Inside Job and Powerline both arrived this week, so hopefully they'll jump up now that they are in stores. Played both of them this weekend and are both really good!!

Two of my three, all-time favorite games on the shelf in the background: Armada and Imperial Assault. Can't ask for better than that.

I backed Damask during their Gamefound campaign, but perhaps it hasn't caught on yet because it is not yet available in retail. It is still showing as pre-order at online game stores.

Two hidden gems I have are actually from 2021. Night Of The Ninja is catching on, as a unique, fast, fun, easy to play social deduction. You never close your eyes, which is unusual, and you play around the table with 4 to 11 players. It's at 2693 on BGG. The one no one talks about, ever, is Mouse Cheese Cat Cucumber, at 9098 on BGG. It takes 10 to 20 minutes, and is a unique moving puzzle with asymmetric abilities and hidden identities. Once you realize that the Mouse and Cat only move when a card is placed next to them (I played it wrong, at first), and that, often, you can place a card on top of another card to make them move, it's a fun, competitive game. And it's small and cheap. Win-win.

I’d go with Fjords (almost a cheat since it’s a reprint and just outside the top 3K), San Francisco, Hot Lead and Longboard for my Knizia fix and Hiroba.

Critical Foundation sounds fantastic! How have I never heard of it before? Definitely going to check that one out. A game that I loved from 2022 that I never hear people talk about, and I would say is super under-rated, is 3000 Scoundrels (currently ranked # 5,547 on BGG) It was designed by Corey Konieczka, who also designed The Initiative.

The best HIDDEN GEM of 2022 is called MOSAIC. But NOT "The Story of Civilization". It is only called Mosaic and is manufactured by Continuum Games. It is in the ABSTRACT STRATEGY genre and I know that is not a popular genre anymore. It is NOT role playing. There is NOT a story or adventure for the players to experience together. It is just color, geometry, strategy and tactics. It was designed by me so I fully admit a strong degree of bias in my assessment. It sell at Barnes and Noble and Amazon and a few local (to me) stores but it has never at all been mentioned on any of these KZbin board game channels.
