Actually I think it reminds me of something that you've done with the rebar and all. I think in a way that old video of yours is a little inspiration for this.

Will add it to the list. Basically i built it the way i did because of what I had available at the time. All the pieces were free..

Are you lubricating the blade with water base solution? If not maybe that is causing the dips?

I am using a slow trip of diesel. Sometime mixed with chainsaw oil for better adhesion to the blade. Longer ago i tried various things. Water. Water and dish soap. Etc etc..

Some guys wouldn't be so fiscally responsible and might blow the rent money on a couple sticks of rebar. Also, I need to commend you on making a sawmilling video without using the word crotch even once.
