Heal up! I have enjoyed watching your hike. As of yesterday Vermont is being washed away by floods like bad floods......that will be a change of plans for many hikers. I look forward to more videos you might post. Take care and give yourself credit for the miles you put in.....amazing!

Oh no…. Sorry to hear…heal well. Hope you do more hiking, as your commentary is on point. If you’d like to try something shorter, but still a solid hike, Might I suggest the Long Trail in Vermont? 273 miles, might not hurt your foot as easily as 1400 miles… just a thought, keep hiking after your are healed!!!🙏🙏

I am sad that you have had to stop for circumstances beyond your control. I will just call your hike postponed as you can finish it up later. You did an amazing job. I am sure many of us would love gear reviews, your thoughts on the trail in general, and any advice you have. You're a tough cookie and you walked over 1,400 miles in less than four months up and down major mountains along the oldest range in the U.S..

Sorry your foot got worse. Also sorry you had to leave the trail. I saw Lightning's last video so have known for a couple of days. Please let us know what the doctor says. Are you planning on finishing next year? It may be for the best. The northern portion: Vermont, NH, and Maine are having lots of flooding issues. Not a good year for bad feet. In a positive light, you have gone further than a lot of people so you should be proud of your accomplishment. You take care and stay safe. Follow your docs advice. See you on the next post.

There was a lot of rainfall overflowing rivers making it dangerous for hiking in Maine. The Nahamsha Hiker had to get off trail due to how dangerous it was in Maine so not a good time up there. Sorry, to hear your foot is in pain. Heal well and hopefully you can continue where you left off on the AT when time allows it. Been watching and wanted to let you know your videos are awesome.

I have had to postpone my hike, but have learned a lot more from those who had to end early than from those super human hikers who do 30 miles a day. Looking at the weather, me postponing might have been a blessing. There is always next year
