I'd like to know the history behind this. How long was this at Toys R Us? After it left Toys R Us, where did it go? And who had it when you got it? Maybe you can address these in a future video.
@thomascritical3 ай бұрын
how long it was there i have no clue. but when it sold the three sections got sold to different people. somehow EJ got all 3 sections and had it for a while. they put it up for sale and now its in my possession

I can't get enough of this set! It draws me like a moth to a flame! Boy, even as an adult I just want to spend hours playing with wooden trains on that thing, it brings the kid out in me. The trinity design of it is so wild and it's quality made. I'm glad that it is on the possession of someone who knows its value. I want to build my own now.

You should try and track down some original pictures of this thing in it's service life in Toys R Us Time Square. It would help a lot with the restoration since there are so many weird ilegal building techniques such as custom track pieces. All I know is that there were at least 2 of these, the other one that replaced this one having more updated things such as traction rail for advertising purposes. Very interesting stuff and important history right here. I am so glad you saved this thing.

This is incredible! It was really cool to see a Toys R Us Times Square Layout up close, and there was a lot I learned from this video. Seeing part of the Roundhouse set in a section was especially interesting. Thank you for making this great video! I think you should make another video of an engine going down the curve part of the mountain.

This reminds me of my old churches train table, it was nothing on this, becuase kids ran cars and preople on the tracks, and there was never a complete circut.

THE FUCKING TIMES SQUARE LAYOUT?! I PLAYED WITH THIS ALL THE TIME! I remember always putting Thomas at the top of the waterfall and having him roll down. I think I watched Great Discovery too many times lol. If your gonna keep it that’s great, but you should also consider maybe having it displayed at a local toy store. You would still own it but at least so kids can play with the layout and it can continue to make memories with it. This is really great this is still around and someone who cares is looking after it. Thank you
@thomascritical3 ай бұрын
For now I plan on keeping it where it is. As much as memories for other kids with it would be great it’s definitely not as strong as it once was. I’d be worried about it breaking
