i got 4 pairs. in 2016 i got 3 pairs. not only my favorite af1 but probably my top 5 sneaker of all time. truly a shoe u look at and do a *chef's kiss* to.

Being that you have the Kith pair from 2016, you should understand the same issue I had with them. The "linen" color on the Kith retro was too dark. The swoosh and outsole are two different shades of pink, and the shape of them was super off. It was the reason I only bought 1 pair back in the day, because to me they weren't really the linens. If you pause the video @2:50 you can see everything I am talking about. Seeing the 2024 pair, it was like Nike fixed everything wrong with the first retro. I have my pairs coming on monday and I'm really excited to see them in person. And while I know you said this in the video but when these dropped in 2001, they were only available in Japan. Air Force 1's were the sneakers to get at the time. I remember going on NT and hearing people who went to Japan just to grab a pair. If you lived in New York during the time, you'd know that these were THE pair during those times. This is one of those pairs that is cemented in sneaker history. Simple, lowkey, classic colorway that will forever remain a grail amongst air force 1 collectors.

Air Force 1’s never really been a preferred model for me but these idk, they do it for me . Had to scoop up a pair for the. Colorway just works perfectly on model 🤙🏽 10/10 !

Interesting to see how different areas value different silhouettes. With the exception of white af1s, I don't think the South puts the same value as people up north do with different colorways. Like vans and dunks on the West Coast

Up (or rather, down) there w/ those absolutely *heinous* "bacon" AM90s that collectors have on a pedestal. IDK, give me mostly clean white with some contrasting details, a la my all time fave AM90 Infrared & laser blue, or the OG AJ3 and AJ4 colorways. luckily, value is in the eye of the beholder. The quality on all Nike is shocking, they crease first wear. The plastic coating on top of the barely leather starts bubbling after about 10.
