I’ve watched you for years but never commented. (I grew up in Greeneville, TN and live in Indiana now). It’s so nice to listen to your voice and be reminded of the southern respect and cordiality that is missing in everyday life so much these days. You and your husband bring that back to me. I’m 65 and going through some of what you do now. I do wish you well on your health journey. I want updates if you feel comfortable sharing. Thank you for sharing all that you do. 😘

Great video! I love that you keep things easy for yourself and that you are not so stuck that you don’t try a few new things. Enjoyed watching. One thing to try!! I found my hair was really thinning and a broken disaster.. then I realized it was the Velcro rollers pulling out my fragile hair. I started just making big pin curl type rolls and using flat,double prong metal hair clips. It allows for lots of air flow and zero hair pulling and breaking. ..My hair is twice what it was! I have also stopped using any hot tools except for a bit of cool air when drying after shampoo.. but that is 2 times a week now ..and I use dry shampoo between. If I want to refresh my curl, I do my ‘pin curls’ and a blast of cool air (or your shower tip would work!) Just a TINY suggestion to try .. see if it helps to keep more of your hair on your head where it belongs!!😂🤪 Thanks Melissa.. I’m always happy to see a video from you pop up!❤️..stay safe and well!

Hi Melissa, would love to see your velcro roller/steam tip. Question, how often do you use the Nioxin treatment? Two of your faves are my faves. The Nars foundation since it came out and the Shiseido cleanser. My sis gave it to me for Christmas along with the Shiseido cotton pads. I also use a Shiseido eyelash curler. It's a great brand. So nice you found a trio that works so well for you. Thanks pretty lady. 🙋♀️

Hi. Melissa. I am a 60 years old woman from the Netherlands.I follow you for years now and i think its about time to say i love your video's a lot. Through the years i bought several products you recommend. Obagi for example. Your skin looks amazing. In this latest video you recommended the NARS foundation. I bought it and exact the same colour Estafe and i totally agree. What a perfect foundation. Thank you. Sometimes its not easy to find the products you mention but i always find a website where they sell it here in the Netherlands. My not so good skin has improved a lot the last years eversince i use retin A and vitamin C. So i am on my way to grow, just like you, beautiful and gracefully an elder woman. I am a lot bigger than you but with the right clothing i think i still can look attractive. I feel a lot more confident with good skin and nice makeup and hair. So i have to thank you for all your advise! Health is the most important but looking the best you can is a bonus!❤

I discovered a "Holy Grail" combo for me, but it may be helpful fpr.someone else with very fine hair: R&Co Biotin shampoo and Moroccan Oil Volumizing conditioner. This is the best combo to clean my hair without leaving it flat. I used to have horrible tangles after showering, but no longer! ❤

Brilliantine! Wow that's a throwback - my Mum was a hairdresser and that is what she always used to give a shine to hair and to tame split ends (I'm talking about in the 50's!!). I currently use Argan Oil from Trader Joe's to do the same thing. Velcro rollers solve everything! It is funny how we use something for years and years, and then just like that we find something better. I've used Neutrogena Plum Perfect Moisturesmooth Color stick for at least 12 years - maybe more, and I can't imagine anything replacing it for ease of use and perfect neutral color (for me).

The Omnilux professional helmet has helped my hair become thicker and longer. There are various dermatologists on KZbin that explain how it works. Dr. Dray is one that encouraged me to try it. I didn’t expect it to work but their 1. year money back guarantee sold me on trying it several years ago. I use it everyday and will never be without it. It thickens each strand of hair. I couldn’t believe my fine hair actually changed to more like medium texture. It slows down the shedding process so you have more hair as well. Love it.

You picked some great new ones. I like the SuperHero mascara and have bought quite a few of them but I find it dries up and flakes and I have to buy it more frequently than with other mascara's. I recently bought one by Lawless but I haven't used it yet because I'm working through a few mascara's before opening a new one. I think I have that highlighter and I'm going to find it and use it again. I have samples of the Nars but I'm still on the fence about it. I did buy the Water Foundation by MAC and I love it. It's a thin formula and applies like a dream with fingers or brushes but it looks so good on my skin. I love that tangerine color on you with the coral lip.

Hi Melissa! I know what you mean about waterproof mascara…I like it but it is hard to remove. I read somewhere to use a non-waterproof mascara for the first coat then the waterproof for the second coat. It stays on well but it is a little easier to remove. I like the Maybelline Full & Soft line. You look lovely as always! PS Is that a lilac bush I see through your window? Whatever it is, I love the color, don’t you? Take care! 👍💕🌸

Great video, do you have a recommendation for crepe type skin on the body? Thanks

Thank you so much for your videos. I learn soo much from them! I have been using Tretinoin for about 5 years now after watching your videos and wondering if I should try out the Obagi products with it now that I am getting older. Could you maybe do a video in the future discussing more about Crohns Disease and how you take care of yourself and prevent flare ups? If it's not something you want to talk about, I understand, Hope all is well and thanks again🙂

I got the hydroquinone prescription from Musely and it's been excellent (along with the tretinoin)

Ordered the NARS! Can’t wait to try!!
@Melissa552 жыл бұрын
Oh I hope you like it. I always feel bad if people order something and they don’t like it. It’s really a pretty one though. Take care and thank you.🌹🌹🌹

Great video Melissa. I wish I could find products that I could stick to and actually believe they are holy grail. At first I thought the Nars Foundation was okay. Then I loved it and now I’m not loving it anymore. It’s not looking good on my skin anymore. Now the Lisa Eldridge foundation is still working but I prefer that color in winter. Not summer. The Elf Powder foundation was nice & easy for awhile but not as much now.🤣 My skin is too high maintenance I guess. Love your hair today. Xoxo 😘

I do know what you mean about the foundations not looking quite the same after a while. I would have these holy grail‘s too like the Laura mercier one that I wore, and then all of a sudden it turned on me and didn’t look as good. And now it seems the Lancôme doesn’t look quite as good as it did most of the time. So I just wonder if that happens sometimes. It sure does get expensive. Anyway thank you and lots of love. 🥰🥰🥰

Oh thank you so much for asking. It’s very simple but I’m kind of liking not putting so much heat on it. Take care and thank you again.

I've heard good things about the Nars. I need to try it! I don't really wear Lancome Stick much anymore either. It's still pretty though! Velcro rollers are timeless! I loved hearing about all the new things your switching up! xoxo

It really is a good foundation isn't it (the Lancome Stick) The nice thing about the NARS is it lasts longer before you have to repurchase. Take care, JD. Love Melissa

Thank you so much Sue. You are so sweet. I have not used a lot of Nars products, but this foundation sure has been a winner. Many thanks.

Great suggestions!! My hair is your length. I dry it partially and put in the Velcro rollers but where do you get your Velcro rollers/ mine catch in my hair terribly.
@Melissa552 жыл бұрын
Oh I have done mine that way too and it does nicely doesn’t it? I got these Velcro rollers at Sally’s and they are like for sensitive hair or something like that. But I absolutely cannot find them anymore. They don’t snag as badly. I have tried taking Velcro rollers, the regular size, and experimenting with them to make them softer. But I haven’t had any luck so far. I’m wondering if I could put like a thin gauze material over the Velcro‘s before I roll my hair and if that would help. I might experiment with that. Anyway thank you so much.

Hi. I’m interested in the nars liquid foundation. Do u apply it with a brush or sponge for the best coverage? Thanks 🙏 love your channel!❤️💚💙
