HEYYYY COUSINS! If you know the reason why my name is "Hair Mary"... comment "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUPAC!" in the comment section! Today is his day!
#WashnGo #HolyGrail #CurlyGirlMethod
Products Used:
Shampoo: The Mane Choice Easy on the Curls
Deep Conditioner: Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Masque
Leave-in: Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style MILK
Styler: EcoStyler Gel Olive Oil
Oil Used To Break Gel Cast: Shea Moisture Professionals Vibrant Color Clear Shine Glaze
Oil Used on Scalp: The Mane Choice Growth Oil
** THIS METHOD IS CURLY GIRL METHOD FRIENDLY!
Dry Times:
I deep conditioned for 30 minutes under my hooded dryer (I don't know the brand, it's old lol) - using heat for your deep condition treatment is ideal for low porosity hair.
After styling I air dried for about 2 hours (I usually don't do this but I had errands to run) and then sat under a hooded dryer for 1-1:30 minutes.
I used my Revlon blow dryer to dry my roots: 10-15mins on Warm Heat/High Speed. I finished with a cold shot.
I restyle my hair every Monday and Thursday.

Thank you!!!! It just doesn't make sense to not shampoo my actual hair lol. As much product as I use, just letting the water & shampoo run down ain't doing nothing but loosening the dirt, if that.

I never comment on anyone's page but I had to on this video because for the FIRST time, this routine worked on my hair and the only product I changed was the hair milk. This was my first time trying it and I am overjoyed. When I was washing my hair last night in my mind I was wondering when would I have time to wash it out if it didn't work. I don't have to worry about it now....thank you so much for your step-by-step routine.

After I deep condition I hop in the shower and apply my leave in conditioner too. The hot water opens up the cuticles so the conditioner can actually penetrate the hair. My routine is similar to yours. I love your results 🙂.

I like the crunch because of that reactivation. as well but if you don’t like it or if you want to try something new. Or you haven’t gotten past eco-styler leaving us. As I Am has a gel that doesn’t crunch and you can also re-activate it and it stays in my 4b 4c hair for a good 3 days

OMG! I have been fighting and pleading and crying even trying to bribe my hair to please work with me when I try wash and goes. I saw the video on what I could be doing wrong and then I saw this one. Praise God won't he do it?! I finally have a decent wash and go. I have to put my hair in about 12 sections and then do subsections out of those. Then I saw you finger curl the strains that don't really curl well, so I tried it and it worked. My hair even has movement! Thank You!

I'm also a low porosity girl. The use of milk instead of traditional leave-ins is news to me. I'm definitely going to give it a go. So that's so much for the heads up. Also, thank you for the information you gave in a previous video about the 5 indicators of low porosity hair. You're the first influencer that I've come across that spoke about lack of elasticity being an indicator. You've literally saved me so much worry and concern because I just couldn't understand what the heck was up with my hair! Now... now I get it. You're a 🌟. Much love ❤

Hi cuzzin 👋🏽 I'm a low porosity gal too. So for me the heavier creams and such don't penetrate my hair and that equals build up and dry hair. But let no product go to waste. DIY leave in....I add those moisturizers to a spray bottle, dilute them with water and saturate my hair with it in the shower. I see the difference and feel it. It's been working and it's a great starting point before applying my gel. Loved the video and have a blessed day.

you answered a lot of questions that I had. I have short 3C low porosity hair. I did the big chop 6 years ago (I actually shaved my head). My hair is about 7 inches long now and I have struggled with a lot of breakage (not trimming quick enough). My hair is now even and healthy and I was looking for a good wash n go regimen. Most of the products you use, I have tried and they worked for me too. I wash twice per week too, it just works for me. I will keep working on the wash,n go technique, "shingling" and see how it turns out. Thanks! Very Helpful.

I honestly don't know how so many ppl do this but wash n goes give me breakage.. they knot my hair up and gets it tangled n mats up like a synthetic wig...and makes my wash day even longer because I have to stretch the night before I wash just to not get as much breakage as I normally do. and I am a 3b Indian black girl and this happens... I use and test differentn products for it whether it's my favorite line (cantu), shea moisture..kinky curly or giovanni...I can never not get breakage and knots after a wash n go so all I do is braid outs. Please tell me if u have any tips because wash n goes are amazing and really bring out my curls but they're just way too damaging and I feel like this is a kept secret in the natural hair Commun-Tity (lol) Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Curly Maya Maybe you could try using a denman brush or comb to clump the curls together. Once you do that don't touch your hair at all. Once it's 100% dry then separate your hair from being clumped & the curls will still be there popping. Let me know if you've tried this method before.

Curly Maya I used to say the same thing, until I broke down and started using a gel with a strong hold! Whenever I tried to do a conditioner only wash n go or use s styling product that wasn't gel it would look good for 5 min and then would be so dry and tangled it wasn't worth it! Think about it, the gel holds the hair in place, without it each individual strand can intertwine with each other and coil around itself causing single strand knots. The key to it is, starting with thoroughly detangled hair, a good moisturizer and a good gel. Hope that helps

This was so helpful amber! I can't wait to try the style milk! I already love the Paul Mitchell the conditioner. I'm pretty sure that style milk has protein too. But I will try!

Great video I have extremely fine VERY DENSE low porosity hair! Big chop 3 years ago, however, it's back, but keeping it moisturized is the biggest challenged until I ran across another youtuber Embracenaturalbeauty where I realized what was going on. I am so glad to find your channel. I know you're not into "hair typing" But you're the closest I've come to a "hair twin" . I find that my find dense low porosity strands loves heat! Glad I came across you. Subscriber forever!

I love your videos girl. I have been rocking my naturals coils and curls for about two weeks and still am not happy with my wash n go. I have some heat damage in the from I'm trying to manage. I've watched a lot of videos and your are very informative and fun to watch. Loved the one on low porosity hair. I'm gonna try your wash and go method. Thanks for all the tips.

Hey Cousin!! I've always used Shea Moisture's styling milk for my braid-outs and twist-outs, but never thought to use it as a leave-in conditioner. I too, have low porosity hair. I will have to pick up a bottle and try it as a leave in for my wash n go.

Those curls are definitely poppin! Hair Mary you have to be careful that the milk that you choose doesn't also contain protein. The coconut and hibiscus milk contains silk protein.
