Love it. I was just sitting here designing up a mini highbanker, scribbling up some schematics and diagrams for a header with grizzly bars, laying out dimensions and so on. And heres you, using a bucket and making it work just as efficiently lol! So! Think ill be taking the route you did, good idea with the bucket.

Nicely done Greg. I came up with a similar design to run on my Keene A51. I'll post a video shortly in the next week or so. I would opt for a little more flow, but it's a nice setup for a budget high banker. Good idea to keep the battery in a bucket!

This is simply genius 👏.... I hope you don't mind if I adopt the idea and maybe make a few small changes ... I have a 50 inch slice that I've been trying to convert ... what size pump do you use ?

Adding a little weighted shaker motor to the screen would really help. Very cool design.

To me it looks like it needs a faster flow to initially breaking up the gravel clay your shoveling in and to disperse the tailings out from your classifier so it happens by itself without you having to clear the tailings out by hand as it show you doing, however great build and fantastic effort Greg :-)

excelente ideia ,só acho q terá mais eficiência se trocar a tela por arames retos, assim os entulhos cairão c mais facilidade

you should have put an end-of-sluice catch-pan for your tailings to verify if those 'five specks' were the only thing that really came through.

great job on the build, I'm working on one myself but I'm using a fertilizers spreader hopper. I have the same sluice as you, my question to you is do you think you're getting enough water flow with your 1000 GPH pump
@gregg192410 жыл бұрын
casper I get great water flow, but I catch all of the gold in the bucket carpet. I don't get any down in the sluice. Thank for watching.

casper7295 that sounds like a a really good idea I will try it for myself

You need to adjust it at a steeper angle. Friendly advice, you'll catch way more buddy! ✅
@trofazz4 жыл бұрын
Agreed, but I think a little more flow and actual grizzly bars would help just as much as an angle change. The paint roller screen acts more like expanded metal and grabs onto the rocks, rather than an actual grizzly bar, which would help the rocks slide out... I have a similar design, but used a grill grate, and expanded metal in the bucket on top of Keene green mat, kind of like a fluid bed. Still, this whole set up will cost a fraction of what a highbanker runs.. Great job!
