Ya it’s much easier to just bounce it up in 2nd but I’d like to be able to shift into third and fourth eventually I’ve tried bounces those up and I nearly pulled out my butthole 😂

you don't need to use the clutch to shift in a wheelie, and i'd recommend practicing straight footbrake drills until you forget about your handbrake in sit downs

damn the grom looks hard af to scrape. my 636 is easy peasy to scrape. but idk if i could scrape the grom right away. just seems way too far back

Is it necessary to install oil pump when just starting to learn? I mean it wont go that high

You’ll be ok. As you get then longer and higher in rpms you’re going to want the pump.

How do you get it up in 2nd?? I redline and dump the clutch on my grom in 2nd and my grom's front wheel doesnt even leave the ground.

Anyone think getting a grom for wheelie practice will help on my mt07 i can wheelie hold balance point but just cant seem to implement using my back break so i can go past balance point. Im thinking to get the grom so i can really practice using back break plus id prefer to loop the grom rather than my mt lol

Yes. I couldn’t imagine learning on a big bike. Things happen too fast, groms make your technical with that rear brake and it transfers to big bikes easily

Yah you’re just doing throttle control at that point. On a grom you’re going to need to do brake control since the power to bring the wheelie back up isn’t there so if you don’t hit balance point off the pop you’re not riding the wheelie out like you can on bigger bikes chasing them out. You’re going to have fun with it to getting technical and trying new stuff
