I've gotten into a plethora of assets with $5k spread across forex, stocks (options and futures) for the short term, index funds, and ETFs, for the long term. I've been trading since 2014 and this is by far one of the realist most solid advice video I've seen for beginners. For anybody new to trading watch this video over and over again and take everything he is saying onboard. There are so many gems in this video I wish someone told me when I first started trading myself. This video alone will extremely shorten your learning curve.
@defixon5 ай бұрын
Even if you’re told, you need to learn the lessons from your own mistakes. At least that’s how it was in my experience. I was told everything not to do, but still made those mistakes until I learned the lesson. I was more aware of the mistakes I was making, but still made them. Maybe it lessened the learning curve.

@HezOmanjo5 ай бұрын
I don't think it has anything to do with leverage. The money you deposit in your account is your equity. The portion left in your account after placing your trade is your margin. Brokers have a margin requirement that if you go below your trade will automatically close (this is also referred to as negative balance protection). Mine is 50%. And that is why you can't use your entire equity balance to open a trade 👍🏽

@@aliahmer4184 You said you were depressed. The best thing to do right now is to at least take a 1 week break from trading because trading in this condition is a recipe for disaster and has the for the account just say f it and take one big lot trade and hope it works out. I don't know what account size you are using, but I came back from the -8.76 drawdown, and it was harder than passing the challenges, tbh. I did end up blowing mine eventually, but I had a 350 payout, so I was able to get another one. During the break, you should be backtesting your strategy and trying to improve it.
