I'd put as much as I am prepared to lose into an account and let it sit there until there's some devesating news and short it (as its already in an account). Very easy money when people don't get greedy. Many amazing traders only trade a few times a year but with big accounts.

Not to speak for her but futures act like spot equities but are leveraged. They don’t have all the other bells and whistles of instruments like options. So you have a concrete idea of what your profits and loss will be based on price movement rather than the X factor of volatility, time etc.

Made 191% on my account this week to only take it all away this morning in too far-out puts. I've had large losses like this before, but this one in particular felt humbling. Position-size was way too heavy and should have stayed on the sidelines after such insane gains on the week. Trying to make it back and some next week, we shall see!
