Hello Grace! I saw you there! I was in the blue group! I am from Brazil, and I loved it a lot!! Completely life changing! I fell my heart opened and in such a lovely state since I got back! I feel I am somebody else, much better version! And in fact, as you said, it is very hard to put it in words! Take care, and keep meditating! 😄🙏🏼❤️

I was there in Cancun - Dec 2022. It was insane!! And since it was my first retreat I was also freaked out by other people convulsing around me, and making totally crazy noise... all of which is totally normal. The highlight was giving healing to others last 2 days- that was divine. And I had one mystical experience when I got home!!!

Cancun is the best venue for Dr Joe. I live near Dallas and so I’ll keep going there, but Cancun itself helped my heart open. I had my first experience of Kundalini there. I believe there are holy beings (not seen in 3D but many could see them with our hearts) that guide on the Mayan lands and that we could connect with them. ❤

I have been to 2 week longs in Cancun and it is a beautiful place to experience your first one. I remember during one of the mediations inside at the ballroom some of the people got to laughing out loud which surprised me. And Dr. Joe afterwards explained how people can have different vocal reactions during meditation. My new favorite retreats are the shorter 4 day retreats that are follow up to the week longs.

@@GraceCrysdale I like the shorter retreats 1. There are not first timers at the AFU’s, so he speaks on new subjects. 2. They cost a little less. 4. There is more meditation. Yet still 3 healing sessions. And 3 walking meditations. And still they ask us to join in a research study.

The retreats are amazing, but yeah the screaming can be annoying if you’ve not been around this kind of experience. Some people are having a moment, some people are just looking for attention. Skilled meditators can control and direct the energy without the vocals. But that shouldn’t stop anybody from going. It’s overall the best thing you’ll ever do.

OMG!! I relate so much to everything you said in your video, especially about the screaming 😱!! I thought I was the only one who had been traumatised by that, but I'm glad to hear it was a massive trigger for you too 😂! I went to Vienna 2023, and I was soooo put off by so much howling and moaning that I felt physically ill, rather nauseous. I never meant to be judgmental, but I felt deep inside my heart that a lot of it was people just performing a theatrical act... So much so that Dr Joe himself publicly reprimanded this behaviour on the third or fourth day, saying that he could tell very well when people were having a real, sincere inner experience as opposed to when they were being utterly disingenuous. He said he would ask people to leave the room if he saw anyone doing the latter. And guess what? They stopped fooling around!! From then on, the more moderate "vocal reactions" that were heard were clearly genuine, and I was totally fine with them. I absolutely enjoyed the second half of the retreat once this madness was put to an end 🙂 I admit that the prospect of hearing fake screams during these retreats still subconsciously puts me off from wanting to go to another one ...!😂 That said, I totally recommend going to at least one Progressive or Week-long. Thank you Grace for sharing your experience!!

Somatic releasing is something you should be warned about. On every responsible website you are warned not to do somatic exercises or even listening to the binaural ADHD music without the support of a therapist. People may not be prepsred for their own reactions. I would love to know whether there are warnings given to people that have struggled with e.g. psychosis or anxiety before or if there are professionals ready if people don't just have a breakthrough or throw an attention fit, but have a mental breakdown. I once did a hormone yoga workshop and was warned about counterindications like e.g. breathwork and psychosis or hormonal illnesses that could worsen. I immediately felt safer.
@GraceCrysdale
@GraceCrysdale 8 ай бұрын
I absolutely agree with you. This was something I wasn’t keen on at the retreat - there was very little guidance on how to hold yourself during a somatic release - let alone feel safe to do so! There were many support staff and meditation guides who answered questions and worked as therapeutic guides during or after the meditations. This aspect of his retreats needs more attention in my opinion.

Hello Grace, Thank you for your honest appraisal of the week long live in conference with Joe Dispenza. I have no doubt whatsoever that peoples lives are changed in profound ways through his scientific approach to all things spiritual! Thank God for Joe and so many other like him. I have read two of his books and found the content difficult indeed to make connections with, this is my challenge by the way and absolutely no reflection on JD. I am open to any suggestions that you or others might make or suggest. I have had similar experiences with other mystics such as Sadhguru, Gregg Braden and the list goes on, it’s disappointing as something is clearly not right with me.
@GraceCrysdale
@GraceCrysdale 8 ай бұрын
Hi, I wouldn’t judge yourself for confusion on his content! My suggestion would be to notice what exactly you’re confused about - without making presumptions about your experience I’ve found for myself that the psyche can limit or completely reject new understanding’s / perspectives when it contradicts what we’ve been ingrained to believe! Notice how you feel about the topic and if it seems that you forget the concepts easily or that your brain rejects the notion. Joe Dispenza often says people cannot think greater than how they feel! So if you’re FEELING stuck in your past beliefs and understandings of science and spirituality - you will not be able to THINK greater than them. Ie) if you feel a very strong emotional that A is true. But you want to think that B is true. It will be hard to accept B if your emotions and beliefs are glued to A. you may have to change your feelings so that you can have a new experience! This is kinda like placebo science. You mentally and emotionally change before you physically change. If that makes sense. Happy to answer your questions to the best of my abilities!

Yes absolutely!! The room does get cold! Light sweaters and blouses are great! Because the temperature outside is hot they keep the air con high! I recommend bringing mostly light sweaters, long sleeves and leggings for the indoor portion which is at least 50% of your time there. A lot of people bring inflatable mats for the lying down meditations! I did okay with just a neck pillow for under my head but for comfort’s sake a mat would be a great option!! Plus I tend to take on other people's energy so it wasn't good at all for me. I couldn't even finish the retreat it was just too much. Also for snacks they gave us bread and coffee. I don't drink coffee unfortunately and bread isn't what I consider a snack.

The chair thing and lack of person space bothered me more than the screaming.

Yes u were judging the screaming o other bc you have issues that moment/s anyways with noises, scary wierd whsts that really, youd rather meditate in quiet and have control over the flow of that bumps up agsinst you...but convulsions, noises, screams are moving energy thats been stuck in programs being dismantled n transmuted...since you are not infinit mind itself you do not have the power to usurp over the willing who wish their release...also as a person whonhas had history of meditation i bet you never convulsed nor screamed from release...so theres a perception and definition already estsblished for you about others...the good n cool thing is, you know not to stay there but if you must notice then, observe send care but, get back to you n your center. Im not sure how one signs up but, i do want to go on a progressive retreat. Ive started joes meditations and my body does sway n girate at times. I kmow energy is shifting on me, my life, and future me...but i seriously am not yet so great at meditation cuz my mind wanders away n i have to get back into the present. Im.not yet at the juncture of im nowhere, nothing, noplace...but i am committed to meditations 2 to 4 x a day n listening to dr joes meditations or suggestions on loop at nite...i met him long ago when there were no retreats n he wore suits lecturing. He will not remember me but i knew then he was gonna get even more famous...i really dont know how to talk to someone like him, so smart, so on top of this quantum game but perhaps in my future I will know how.❤ty for your video ❤

My question is more about what happens AFTER the retreat: is it not a bit of an anticlimax experience? I mean: you experience all this love, amazing people, amazing stuff happening all around you and then you go back to your old routine, with "normal" people, does it not feel a bit shitty after that? Just curious, I have never been on any of these retreats and I would love to.

You go back to the same life circumstances but you are different, so you view them differently. It’s like you’re a new person. Change your energy, change your life. As your energy changes during the retreat, your life also changes. It’s not an anticlimax. You’re now empowered to create the life you want and you’re so much more in love with life than ever before.

The way you use the word God will mislead some people and discourage others. The word Source is one that Dr. Joe tends to use more often.

Yes, Joe uses "Source"! I believe the words God and Source are interchangeable

Impor-t-ant, im por tant. There’s a t in there. It’s not impor- ant. No one seems so say this word properly anymore.

6 minutes in and i understand zero about your personal experience. You certainly don’t give anything away because you don’t share anything of then your joy and a word salad. And the food. And we know this costs thousands to attend.
