My Honest first impression of Makassar 🇮🇩

Today I'm in Makassar, a city in Sulawesi and one of the major cities in Indonesia!
I'll be trying Coto Makassar and share my thoughts.

Harus ada kritikan ttg sampah,bnyk negara lain bersih,bhkn pengelolaan sampah jga modern jadi sampah ndk sampai harus nampak di biarkan bgitu lain klo kayu ranting & daun,inikn sampah plastik harus ada kesadaran jga ada reaksi tanggap cepat jdi wajar lh youtuber luar begitu kritis masalah sampah Indonesia yg masih kurang ksadaran masyarakat pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan .

I don't think Fort Rotterdam was a gift from the King Goa in India. It was first built in the 17th century by the King of Gowa in Makassar in response to the emerging dominance of the Dutch East India Company (VOC). (Goa and Gowa are two different places in two different countries.) The fort was then taken over by the Dutch who used it for hundreds of years, and finally by the Japanese for several years toward the end of World War 2.

Sultan Hassanudin is from Gowa Kingdom, South sulawesi, not india. the first place you visit is Center Point Indonesia (CPI), its under development so its still empty, you are in beach area (not river) not many high rise building there. Makassar is 5th largest city in Indonesia, it have big industrial, office, and commercial area.

9:28 No, Bugis people and Makassar people are different. There are 4 Major ethnic groups in South Sulawesi: Makassar, Bugis, Toraja and Mandar. They speak different language, and they came from different kingdom in the past. Bugis people are originally from Bugis area in South Sulawesi which are mostly mountain areas. Makassar are people who lives on the southern coastal area and surrounding spermonde archipelago. 15:30 Sultan of Gowa is not from South India 😂 Gowa Sultanate is the name of Makassar Kingdom in the past. There were two kingdoms in Makassar in the past, Gowa and Tallo Kingdom. And you can still visit the Gowa Sultanate Palace in Kabupaten Gowa 30 min from the city center. Sorry Laurence, I think next time you better research information first so not to make confusion with the audience. And as someone from Makassar who loves near the sultan palace, I laughed when you said the Sultan lives in the fort 😂 it was just a fort to protect the city from outsider during his reign.

Good walk and talk around Fort Rotterdam Makassar. I think the spice "Adas" is translated as "Fennel" in English. But if it's called "Adas Manis" it's translated as "Anise" in English.

Beside Rawon, there is another dish called "Brongkos", originaly from Central Java, which uses Kluwak as the main ingredient.... You should try Brongkos, in case you have never tried it.....

I dont know where you got your information about fort rotterdam ???😅....this is fatal..imagine people will see this video and actualy believe what you said...goa and gowa is not the same...gowa have a long history ...you urgently need for a local guide If you visited rotterdam dont just explore the outside courtyard ..theres 4 main building you should visit inside fort rotterdam....if you lucky 3 building is usualy open....how could you missed the room where pangeran diponegoro been kept prison...it the main attraction Fort rotterdam is beautiful and have a long fascinating history...its too bad for the wrong reviews... I hope everyone... local or foreign tourist please ask local guide or atleast read the wiki of fort rotterdam before / while visiting...its more than an old moldy ford
