I am old school Disney. I love checking in at the front desk with the kids as they explore the well themed lobbies. It was one of the best parts to the start of our Disney vacations

We are DVC members and stayed there December 19th in a theme park room and we absolutely loved it!

It looks nicer in person than I thought it would but still would rather stay at the themed part of the poly resort. Not into the new corporate theming that Disney seems to be doing these days in both the parks and at the resorts.

Dev, I like your idea to have a moana something at the front entrance sign, but maybe that would make guests expect heavier moana theming inside , kind of like the contemporary you mentioned. The subtle touches inside are nice though. how about some sort of Sailing canoe but maybe without a charachter? Either way, looks great! Good luck with the new business!

I do agree that the Island tower looks beautiful. To your point if they are building more DVC resorts they need to expand the Disney parks or just build a 5th Disney park already

As you guessed, they are rerouting and expanding the road. Locals and employees use that road as a shortcut, so to speak, and traffic is too much for that little road now.

It's awful. The lobby stinks, the pool is too small. It looks out of place and adds massive crowds to the monorail. Another disney cash grab.
